Around SBN: Steve McNair Dead - Former NFL QB Shot and Killed

Bears lack heart, soul, so says Ayanbadejo.

'We had a great team when I was in Chicago,'' he said. ''I loved, loved, loved my teammates in Chicago, but something was missing. Maybe we were a bit too cool in Chicago. Or we just didn't give it our hearts and soul. Whereas here, with [middle linebacker] Ray Lewis being that emotional leader and as spiritual as he is, it takes us over the top with that emotional advantage we have over every other team on Sundays.''- Brendon Ayanbadejo

Great... just what we need to bring up the "Fire and the Passion" crowd.

If you need a middle linebacker to be an emotional leader and make everyone play better, then why even bother having a head coach? Isn’t that the head coach’s job?

I'm not going to even bother trying to update this sig everyday anymore... that's what the standings column on ESPN is for.

Wait....
Maybe we were a bit too cool in Chicago.

Weren’t they supposed to exude quiet confidence and just focus on the game?

I have a hard time believing that...
Or we just didn’t give it our hearts and soul.

When they gave it their all in the post-season and got to the Super Bowl. With the exception of Cedric Benson, everyone on that team wanted to win the Super Bowl. There is rarely a player on the field in a Championship game who doesn’t give it his all to win the Championship.

I would definitely agree

with that statement, but it does seem like Urlacher, Harris and Vasher lack the passion. I will give them the injury excuse. but it just seems like anytime anyone from the Bears speak its always the same thing every week. Im not one of those meatheads that believe in screaming and banging your heads around, but I think a little firey emotion always gets me pumped up and Im sure alot of fans agree.

Please...

Urlacher has been known to rip his teammates a new one, and that was published a few times this year, in the pre-season and the regular season when our D was playing like crap.

The guy doesn’t lack emotion… or a desire to win.

i sometimes think

our leaders are all too much like Lovie. Not that even-keel is a bad thing, but sometimes I wish one of the big guys would grab someone by the facemask and yell.

So

We all have to spaz out and be “spiritual” like Ray Lewis to win? That’s whats missing?

I have theperfect solution.

Sign Ray Lewis. Move Urlacher outside. He has the speed. Do it.

He's so one with the universe

Ray-ray is so rightous that he was once accused of a murder. Yeah, like I’d believe anything he says. Give me a break Brendan. The Titans physically beat your team all over the field, but got unlucky with turnovers. The Ravens were very fortunate to even be in that game. Maybe the Bears should try to emulate Ray by being a complete liar and thug. Only then will the Bears be able to see the light.

LOL

Damn some people are retarded. What the fuck does him being accused of murder have anything to do w/ his passion for the game? If anything, it gave him a new lease on life and showed him an opportunity like this comes around once in a lifetime. His passion for the game is undeniable. I wouldn’t say the Titans got unlucky w/ turnovers. The play where Flacco connected to Heap after snapping the ball a second AFTER the play should have been called dead was unlucky, but the blame for the turnovers can’t be placed on luck or lack-there-of. On another note….I love the way Lewis and Brian Dawkins play the game w/ passion and inspiration, but if the fact that you’re making millions of dollars getting an opportunity 1 out of a million people get, isn’t enough of a reason to put your heart and soul into the game then fuck you. Honestly, I think we play w/ emotion and passion. We don’t have to scream, or dance, or cry in interviews.

Please read, if you haven't already,

the “Guidelines Reminder” fanspot by WCG. A couple of your comments are out of line here.

I whole-heartedly agree with you about Ray Lewis, and agree that propheteer’s statement was not very bright. But please don’t use that kind of language, and don’t call other members names. Keep it respectful… it’s going to be a long offseason, and we can’t have you blowing a gasket this early!

Things will get better as they improve...

Ravens are overachieving anyway

plus they got lucky they had to play a declining Titans team..

Erm, well if we are going to call Milton Bradley nicknames, mine is Fischer Price: yes, you heard it here first..
