Taylor Mays to Return
I know this will bum a lot of you out, but USC Coach Pete Carroll has announced that Taylor Mays will return to USC
"At the beginning of the season, I wanted to leave," Mays said after USC defeated Penn State in the Rose Bowl on Jan. 1. "Halfway through, it was 50-50. Now, if I do leave, it feels like a perfect way to go if I leave. That would be the way to do it."
That changed in the past 10 days, sources said, when Mays realized the benefits of staying in school.
"He doesn't have the pressure here that he would in the NFL and he likes being with his friends," a source said..

I don't think think he would have been on the board at 18 anyways.

Always the chance he slipped
or we moved up. Unlikely or a pipe dream, maybe, but there was still the chance.
Being Who You Thought We Were Since 2005!
Damn.
Guess we’re looking at William Moore, Nic Harris, or Kevin Ellison.
I'm not going to even bother trying to update this sig everyday anymore... that's what the standings column on ESPN is for.

I see
Moore as a late first – early second, Nic Harris a 3rd or 4th and Ellison as a mid-rounder.
Saints are most likely going to take Moore with their first, so our options seem much more limited now.

On Moore...
He is a great player and led the NCAA in interceptions two seasons ago, but he has been injured of and on all season. So I am worried that he will be another Mike Brown, meaning oft-injured.
No one seems to be talking about him so I will throw out his name Patrick Chung from Oregon, know he is not as large as Mays at 5’11 but is great in run support and plays the ball well in the air. And could easily be had in round 2-3.
Pretty bold statement there, but maybe altogether not unrealistic...
