Am I the only one who finds week 10 fascinating?

Singletary coaching against the only team he played for.

By the way, it’s a Thursday night game, so both teams will only have four days to rest before playing each other.

Your not alone...

If both teams continue playing winning football, this matchup could have playoff implications on top of the past history. Definitely an interesting contest.

That seems to be the popular comment these days

There was also a comment during the Rams game comparing Steve Jackson to him as well.

When you go to somebody's house, you don't crap on their floor. Being a fan of one team does NOT give you license to be a dick to fans of another.

Corollary: When people are visiting your house and behaving themselves, them being a fan of a different team is NOT a reason for you to piss in their beer.

Tons of short passes+explosive receivers=lots of yards. Orton isn’t forced to make tough throws for that team, and as long as they execute, he’ll be successful up there.

Also in the second half,

we were sacking Stafford left and right (until he got injured early in the 4th). Throw in a couple penalties, a turnover, and a couple of three and outs, and that was that.

Tillman may have been covering Johnson in the second half (he did register a couple of tackles), but he was more shut down because Stafford didn’t have time for a 3 step drop, and we just gave Culpepper the underneath passes (which he took for short yardage).

I'm just stating

that at least one of our corners is capable of shutting down these big name receivers, like he has with Burress who shot his mouth off, and then caught 0 balls against us, and i believe he limited Moss too.

Roddy White doesnt scare me so much as, our 10 yard off the LOS defensive scheme does.

I hear ya...

But I don’t agree about Tillman this season. He has either fallen down while in coverage, or just been way out of position too many times this year. It seems like with each week we play, I trust him less and less.

Hopefully, the off week gave him (and the coaches) plenty of time to work on some things.

CJ was injured during the 2nd half

so maybe if white gets injured Tillman will be able to shut him down… what CJ did in the 1st half prior to getting injured is what should concern all of us….

Ryan+White > Stafford+CJ

by No It All on Oct 12, 2009 2:37 PM CDT up reply actions

Roddy White/Matt Ryan doesn't scare me at all

The key to the game in my opinion will be the running backs and tight ends. If we can contain Michael Turner and keep them underneath with Tony Gonzales and not over the middle 20 yards downfield then i think we can score more points than them to win.
Easier said than done tho, but coming out of a bye, i think Lovie is gonna have a revenge gameplan brewing…this game is a Must win imo. After last year, this is a Must win.

Some great games today.

Cardinals beat the Texans on a goalline stand and a Pick 6.

Broncos beat the Patriots in Overtime, but those uniforms looked like ****

Bengals are amazingly 4-1

Lions actually kept it close against the Steelers.

Although there are still some stinkers like every time JaMarcus has the ball, and watching the highlights from the Bills/Browns game was just depressing… How can the Bills suck so much right now after how well they played against the Patriots?

Random thoughts

I hope Hasselback can stay healthy enough to make the Seahawks games a challenge for Min and GB.

The next two games at Atlanta and Cincinnati are looking tough.

I’m glad we’re not the team that has to play the 49ers after that embarrassing loss and their bye week. Samurai’s going to be mad after that one.

I hope our offensive line/run game has figured itself out during the bye. Watched some of the NE/Denver game and I’d like to see Cutler get half the time Brady gets to stand back there.

We need Denny Green to come back and give another “If you wanna crown em” speech after the next Vikings game.

The bye week looks good right now

Going on the road next week to play a pretty tought team… and we get two weeks to prepare for it. Nice.

Atlanta had two weeks to prepare for San Fran…. I’m sure that helped too. In fact, all of last week’s BYE teams won today.

The Broncos dropped 8 in coverage

…several times. They kept changing their cover schemes. Brady missed Welker because he had to throw quickly and the two miscommunicated on the route.

The Broncos had three or four blown coverages all game. They got hurt on two of them. But what they did well was confuse Brady on several occasions — and that’s not easy to do.

And Orton was everything many of us hoped he’d be.
