David Haugh's "All Ex-Bear Offense"
There has been a lot of talk about the success that Kyle Orton and Cedric Benson have been having since leaving Chicago, though I don't think many would welcome either of them back.
With this premise, David Haugh takes to the task of making an All Ex-Bear Offenseive team. Here's an excerpt:
Running back: Cedric Benson, Bengals. Benson has run like he is chasing a Brinks truck. If the league's leading rusher through five games had run that consistently hard in Chicago, the leash would have been longer for a guy who had lost the organization's trust. Benson's backup in the mythical ex-Bear backfield? Thomas Jones of the Jets, the better back in Chicago who was a big reason Benson spent three years feeling sorry for himself with the Bears.
Head on over to the Trib's site to check out the entire article. Do you think Haugh left anyone off the list?

Justin Gage comes to mind.
While not exactly lighting it up he has had success elsewhere.

Defensively ...
I thought it was a mistake to let Chris Harris go

Are you f_ing kidding me?
Benson is a beast – ask Troy Polumalu. He’s leading the NFL in rushing, 6 yards ahead of AP. Of course we’d take him back now!

Benson & Forte splitting time...
That would be scary.

That would be scary
Still, Benson is one ugly M.F. and I don’t miss him. I’d rather see T.J and Forte in the backfield, that would be a dream.

TJ and Forte
would be about as unfair as having Ditka as coach again. lol

I'd love to have Orton back...
We could definitely use a solid backup QB right now. We’re one freak accident away from the Caleb Hanie era.

Jared Lorenzen gets my vote!
John Madden: I love to see a fat guy score.
Pat Summerall: Why?
John Madden: Because first you get a fat guy spike, then you get the fat guy dance.

Just had a thought...
He is on the market right… screw Caleb Hanie! And if he doesn’t work out, he can take over for Omiyale. And then Matt Jones can be our backup QB and we can trade Desmond Clark and Caleb Hanie for Wes Welker!
There is just way too much WIN in this… I have to go change my pants now!

Thank goodness
we’re almost through the bye and back to Bears football.
Then people can post actual Bears news instead of talking about ex-Bears, trading for elderly receivers, or which actor Jay Cutler looks like.
