Orlando Pace jokes
I know you all have got em, and I want to hear em. How bad is Pace? You got puns? You got jabs at his age? Keep it relatively clean (or not) and keep it clever.
Everybody makes mistakes, but Orlando Pace is not everybody. No excuses bud. It just plain looked like he fell over on that play. And it was after a timeout for chrissake. How do you not know the snap count after a timeout?

Orlando Pace is soooo old...
he draws holding penalties during big gains, he jumps the count when we’re on 4th and 1 and the game is on the line and he pancake blocks because the name makes him hungry.

I think on the Pancake block
he just fell asleep… as was evident in him falling asleep over during the 4th and 1

Maybe his hearing aid
Popped out right before the 4th and 1. At his age, I don’t know anybody that could hear the snap count without one.

Maybe when Jay said "blue forty-two"
he thought he said “blue fruit loop” and got over excited?

The strange thing is
Orlando was absolutely not on Pace on that 4th and 1. Much too early.

Why does everyone want to blame Orlando Pace for losing the game?
I’m dumbfounded by this.
The guy put John Abraham on his a55 all night long. It’s not his fault Cutler threw an INT in the red zone… it’s not his fault Forte fumbled at the 1… it’s not his fault the Bears defense was unprepared for a no-huddle… it’s not his fault there were 12 men on the field during a punt.
He committed a false start on what was an obvious run play, or QB sneak, since he was lunging forward in a run block motion. Now, how many times did we fail to run the ball for 1 friggin yard that game? If anything, 4th and 6 probably gave the Bears a better chance to convert, since they got stuffed numerous times before when they needed 1 yard.

that logic is ridiculous
is it easier to get 1 yard or 6? being 6 out totally eliminates choices. why yes it opens the field more, it totally eliminated anything other than a pass.

All of your logic makes no sense to me. Pace did a great job all night and made 1 mistake. The pass on 4th and Goal was rushed and a bad decision by Jay Cutler. I thought Cutler played pretty well Sunday Night as well despite having people in his face all night.

I dont mean to blame Pace for the loss
Clearly the Bears have alot more issues than an old offensive linemen. I just find it ridiculous that someone as experienced and talented as Orlando Pace can screw up the snap count after a timeout. You are right, he played great, but he made crucial mistakes down the stretch. That is not clutch, and the bears needed clutch right there. Forte played like crap earlier in the game, Cutler had his overthrows, but when the game was on the line, they were ready to go. Pace was not.
As for the 4th and 6 versus a 4th and 1, Cutler was 3/3 on QB sneaks for 1 yard in the game.

unprepared
Sackman, you hit on a point there about the Bears being unprepared for the no huddle. That means bad coaching and an inability to adjust to changing game situations.

My Favorite Play By The Bears Defense Sunday Night.
Atlanta coming to the line in a no huddle Offense trip right Wide Receiver set. And the Bears have 2 Defenders for 3 Receivers. Touchdown Atlanta. Now that was a complte Brain Cramp right there. WOW!

I don't hate Pace, and I agree with SackMan's big green blob,
but here goes: Orlando Pace, the one and only originator of the left guard sneak.
