Pisa Tinoisamoa Considering Surgery

Wcg_thumb_link_medium
While the Bears have been mum so far on giving us any updates on injured SLB Pisa Tinoisamoa, we do get an update from the Honolulu Advertiser this morning:

Chicago Bears linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa has to decide whether to have season-ending surgery after suffering articulating cartilage damage in his right knee, according to a league source.

Tinoisamoa is considering getting a second opinion on his knee before making a final decision, the source said.

Pisa's contract is up at the end of this season.

This completely sucks.

How much bad luck can you get in one season at one position? 1st Urlacher, then Pisa.

we lost them both in same quarter of our 1st game of the season. Ugh.

"No offense intended" does not jive with posting in the heat of the moment.

Sheesh

I have already had a gloating Rams fan IM me this morning… he was giving the over/under on Pisa’s games available as a Bear as 4… and he was betting under.

On the other hand...

I did remind him that he has to root the rest of the year for the St. Louis Lambs… so there is that…

you should

have told him you bet the same thing but for Rams victories.

Did he have an injury history in StL?

I though he had been their leading tackler several times. Didn’t hear about a history of missing games.

not that i was aware of

but things happen. i hope we bring him back and give him a long term deal

Bring back our honey bears...sick and tired of hearing about the dallas cowboy cheerleaders and the bars they go work at when they quit. cold weather + cheerleaders in skimpy outfits = lots of fun

He was hurt a bunch...

in ‘06 and ’07, but he was reasonably healthy last season. I did worry that he would not hold up as he is smallish at the strong side position, but he has played better than I had expected. I don’t see him on the Bear’s roster next season, but he will play in the NFL.

There are no stupid questions, but there are a LOT of inquisitive idiots.

Leave 'em wanting more.

The one play when he stood up I think it was Michael Turner and stopped him dead in his tracks, That was linebacking at it finest. It’s just screwed up we couldn’t see Pisa, Briggs and Urlacher play together this season. That’s a nice linebacking corps. Just one more excuse for a disasterous season.

He just doesn't seem very durable, maybe because he's a little undersized

Urlacher, on the other hand has been very durable for us. What were the odds of both of them being out for the year this early in the season?

we play the Browns in two weeks

does he have enough knowledge of the Bears Playbook for Mangina to take advantage?

He really played good

For the short amount of time he was out on the field. Hopefully the Bears will bring him back to play alongside Urlacher and Briggs next season.
