Chicago Bears Vs. Cincinnati Bengals - 4th Quarter

Bears brass has been taking a bit of a beating in the media of late due to the success of some of the players they let go. Most notably Kyle Orton, Justin Gage to a lesser extent and Cedric Benson, whose revived running game the Bears will have to stop this week if the Bears plan to leave Cincinnati with a better record than .500. The Bengals are having a resurgence this year. Along with Benson's run game, Carson Palmer and Ocho Cinco are looking more closely like they used to than they do to the tandem we've seen the prior 2-3 years. While the air game isn't enough to put the Bengals over the top if the dline and the depleted Bears linebacking corp can't stop Benson and the Bears have to start playing the safeties closer to the line, Palmer is good enough to make them pay. The Bears offense just needs to keep doing what they are doing and just eliminate the red zone turnovers. If they can get out fast and put a few points on the board it will force the Bengals to abandon the run game and while Palmer and guys are better I don't think they can beat us with the pass along. |

i hope they put 50 on us
our defense has not been all that good for a while – losing this badly should finally open some eyes about what needs to be done moving forward, including dumping some mediocre overpaid players and modifying the scheme. this is completely unacceptable.
You are so right its not even funny.
Two or three years ago, i think three, the bears had too many players thinking they were God and wanted paid. Well you over paid dick heads, where the fuck are you now? Worthless, starting with Tommie Harris and ending with everyone wanting a raise. I am a Die Hard fan and everyone that got paid sucks now, funny how that works. Our coaching is fucking worthless. One of the worst staffs in the league, I start with them.

Postgame
Assuming this game continues on its current path…
What explanation will Lovie give in his postgame interview?
My vote goes to:
“We just didn’t play good football.”

wasnt a bad loss
You have to expect a loss here and there. There were many points in the game where the vikings were positioned to win. The bears however, you know, not so much

Btw, Grandpa Favre
looked pretty hilarious this afternoon. How does it feel to have him cost you a game? I hope you liked it, because he’s not done screwing the Viqueens this season.

It was Chester Taylor and the refs
The tripping call and Chester not keeping his eye on the ball was the cause of the loss. Favre played well. Better than Ben in fact. After watching you guys play, I cant wait to play your team. Your about in the ranks of the Bucaneers and Rams after watching this game.

I enjoyed watching the Ref getting decked during the Kickoff Return.
Any time the Ref’s try helping any team win I like to see them go down.

embarassed
I have followed these guys, I put out my flags every game day, I wear my jerseys that cost a hundred bucks a pop, drag my kid to bourbonnais for training camp, and this is the reward for being a good fan? First off, cedric is a waste of space pothead who was no good. All excuses aside, they played like sh__! Ron Turner may as well pack his bags and start packing lovies as well. I am fully embarassed. And Im not even on that field. Lovie, you have destroyed our beloved. It starts in preseason. Like I said, we went to training camp…if thats what you call it. My high school practices were more intense. Thank you for ruining our team. Take your dignity, jump on a plane and go back to Texas. Quit, so we can get a coach who actually cares about winning. A coach who can instill a passion to win. I’ll never quit on my team…but you sure make it hard to be a fan.

with benson still in the game?
I hope he blows out a fucking knee.
(However, I am glad that daddy bet BIG on the Bengals. So far I am 5-1 betting on the Bears! If you can’t enjoy your team winning the next best thing is to profit on them losing.)
4th and 4...
and they went for it. Nice.

cedric must be high again
He’s smoking a “j” between runs. All he needs is the boat and the “ho’s”. Hard to feel pain when your high as hell. Ask Favre.
The Bengals have had more convictions than wins in the past two years, it’s just a matter of time before they find Cedrics stash.

p
denial
is not just a river in egypt… Cutler was supposed to shine over the dark shadow we have on defense… the steady decline of our production, and our Oline is pitiful, Jay has an average of about 2 seconds to throw the ball

not a clue
but we sure as hell don’t trade a 2nd rounder for a DE, when your oline is going to get the QB killed

Bears will be lucky to finish at 500 in 2009
I think the Bears are NOT the worst team in the NFL, but they will be pressed to finish above 500 this year. After the 3-1 start, Cutler almost had me believing in miracles despite some obvious problems:
1. Bears have 2 starting linebackers out and a rookie playing middle linebacker.
2. The Bears new safety is a rookie and it shows.
3. Bears offensive line can protect Cutler but not block good.
4. The Bears gave a lot of draft picks to Denver (no wonder Denver is 6-0),
this leaves them real thin and subject to injuries.
5. The Bears coaching takes too long to prepare the Bears at times.
6. The Bears do not have a top or #1 WR, unless someone becomes one. Only Devin Hester has the potential to become one, and he isn’t quite there yet. Shoot the Bears don’t have a consistent #2 or #3 yet either.
Cutler is worth the price, but it won’t appear that way until 2011, IF he stays healthy that long.
Hey at least we are not the Lions, Bucs, Rams or Browns and will win some games this year.

Unbelievable
Some of the shit spewed on this thread makes me embarrassed to be a Bears fan. The hatred for Cedric Benson is ridiculous. I’ve never seen so many fucking retards in one place at one time. You must me sick to my stomach.
Don't hate Benson, but he did little in Chicago
turned the ball over, was injured most the time, and never looked like #1 pick. hope he can keep his new thing going for the Bengals.
by BearsRAVGin2009 on Oct 25, 2009 6:15 PM CDT up reply actions
Yeah he did little
in Chicago but that doesn’t justify people wanting him to get injured and saying he’s going to be broke and shit. It’s pathetic. Hate the organization because they are pathetic.
not a big surprise

Starting with the coaches, the Bears suck.
I love the Bears and I will 4-ever love them but they suck starting with the coaches. I haven’t been a fan of our coaches since the 06’ Super Bowl. That was the worst called game I have ever seen being a Bears fan. Yes, I will say it, Turner is officially the worst Offensive Coordinator in the league. That guy is fucking horrible, I mean fucking horrible. Lovie as a defensive coordinator isn’t worth a shit either. I don’t care who is hurt or cant play right now, Lovie is soft and he will always be that away. He can take his Tampa 2 defense and shove it up his ASS!!! Just a concerned Bears fan, that’s all.
