NightLinks: Lovie Mum On OL Change; Knox Wins Award
Not that we should expect anything different, but when Ron Turner was asked today about Josh Beekman possibly replacing Frank Omiyale at left guard, Turner responded "Ask Lovie."
When Lovie was asked about it, of course he wouldn't say. Rumors are floating around that Beekman was going to get some work in with the first team this week. Not that it matters who our left guard is...
Also, Johnny "Roy" Knox walked away with the NFC's special team player of the month award. Glad to see something positive going on with our team. Could he be in the running for ROY?

He won't be in the running
if the Bears don’t get to kicking ass and taking names.

I like Knox....congrats young man!
Those that cant coach, compete!
Failing to plan is planning to fail.
All I want is 53 Rod Smiths. Is that asking too much????

He may deserve it by season's end but
I don’t think Knox will be able to eclipse Harvin for RoY unless he completely dominates his stat sheet by year’s end. They play exactly the same positions in WR/KR and have similiar stats. But Harvin has the status of the higher pick, playing for a winning team, and playing with Farve. Logically you could look at those last two points and say “Harvin’s succeeding because of his team” but logic doesn’t always enter in to it. Harvin will be voted for just so writers have more reason to gush over Farve, “Oh, he’s so good he made Harvin Rookie of the Year.”
In the running? Definitely if he keeps up the pace. But to actually win either the other candidates need to slip or he needs to excel even more.

I will be very surprised
if Harvin makes it through a full season of football. I’m not wishing anything bad on him, I just don’t think he can endure a full schedule of big boy football.

Lovie's Mum!
Trickery and deceit is for losers. Oh, I’m not saying anything about personnel changes. Lovie, That sounds like scared man talk.
