Last Night...

was brutal. I turned in because I got excited by the notion of football, then about 2 seconds after the kickoff I realized it was still the vikes vs. pack and damn is it hard to root for ANYTHING to happen in those games. First I got annoyed at hearing about Favre and all his accomplishments, including stats and records that no one's ever heard or cared about. Second I got annoyed at hearing about the new legend Aaron Rodgers and his already HOF-worthy career.  And lastly it was ESPN's overhyped and overadvertised coverage of the game. Was it just me or were there 15 commercial breaks before the 1st quarter had ended? All in all a good game, but my god, I hate watching a game to root against both teams. Which team did you guys find yourselves pulling for? I slightly went with the Pack only because my Favre hatred was fully rejuvenated.

Same here

But I did enjoy cheering GO PURPLE JESUS when the vikings did something while at the pizza place in town up here in Wisconsin

I was hoping for an historic "both teams losing" result

There has got to be...

a way for that to happen! I just know it! If a baseball game has the possibility that it could never end, then the NFL can come up with a way for both teams to get a loss.

There are no stupid questions, but there are a LOT of inquisitive idiots.

you really want that spongie?

then all you will ever hear from ESPN is how favre and rodgers are the only QB’s in the history of the game where both teams lost.

god i hate espn

Luckily, I'm in the UK and don't have to put up with ESPN :-D

Long Season

GB attacked the Queens totally wrong and I don’t think we would make the same mistake. Sure, AP averaged just over 2.0 ypc, but what about blitzing? The Lions were very competitive against the Queens because they blitzed and got to Favre the entire first half. He is old, he can’t move around that well. Hopefully other teams learn from how GB failed.

PS – As a Bears fan, I can admit, Jermichael Finley is going to be really really good the next few years.

It was pretty much

fantastic… to watch Rodgers go down, and be totally helpless
which makes us beating the Vikings, that much sweeter this year.
their fans were talking crap about their goal line stand against us last year… enjoy it, cause this year, we’ll just torch you with Cutler.

i was rooting for viking...

HOW CAN YOU ROOT FOR PACKERS?..I don’t care if viking losing was good for bears, but still HOW CAN I ROOT FOR PACKERS? I look at it this way a packer lose is always a bears win no matter what the situation is I will never ever root for packer and will ALWAYS root against them no matter who they play.

Yhea but

if you talk to almost any Packers fan, they don’t think of the Bears as their big rival, they think of the queens. It’s been that way a LONG time.

I’d much rather see the Pack win than the vikes.

That's because

of all the whoopings Favre and the Pack put on us, but now Favre left to the purple penis parade, and they hate them now…
we can still hate them, and should

How does anybody root for the Packers or Queens ...?

Rodgers sucked, and Favre had all day to throw. At least we can beat the Queens through the air and shut down AP. We’ll kill the Packers when we meet them …
