It was uglier than the scoreline suggests. Cutler (once again) played better than the offensive line were allowing… 4 sacks and numerous hits.

There was one hit
where Shaun Rogers landed fully on Cutler. He looked like a lifeless doll after Rogers got up. I maybe or may not have gotten scared we lost him for the year.

I seriously have not seen him whine.
I;ve seen him indignant, annoyed, angry, but never whiny. I think people project that on him because he happens to have a slightly recessed chin.
He’s tough as nails, he owns his own mistakes, and he corrects his teammates when it is fruitful (doesn’t blame them after the fact).
He’s OK in my book. And I am happy to wear his jersey today as I fly to Maryland.

Orton was absolute crap, and should’ve been credited for 3 Ints if Raven defenders were able to catch his fluttering speciality passes. This is the kind of stuff never mentioned by analysts everywhere.

You guys still have a heck of defense, and you were playing one of the leagues best D, so take heart that everyone has an off day. The Ravens just planned on how Orton plays, take it short and let the receivers make the plays. They let him the completions but they stop them right after the catch.
You guys should rebound next week.

This is the type of defensive game plan
that will be played against the broncos all year and frankly I am very surprised teams have not done it earlier. 90% of Orton’s throws all years have been inside of 10 yards and the yac has worked becuase temas have been playing very passively all year and giving cushion. The key to defensing Orton has always been take away the short stuff and make him throw over the top. His accuracy over ten yeards has always been his issue.
Roach love the run stuffin', but don't forget about the TE over the middle!!

Bronco fans were wondering where we wer today

It is so frustrating to be a fan of them sometimes.
You never know what they are going to do. I just hope that they can keep it close next week even if they lose to the Bears.

When they are being disrespected
(like before last years playoffs or before their road games this season) they are capable of coming out focused and playing well.
When they spend all week listening to people tell them how great they are (like this week) they are capable of coming out and playing flat.

He’s more fortunate than a trust fund baby. Did you happen to see the the three throws directly to Raven defenders? Actually, they went directly through both hands on all three occasions. Those wont show in his passer rating, but most unbiased analysts will certainly take those into account when evaluating how bad he really is.
