I picked the Bears.
Total homer pick, but I have a glimmer of hope still left in me. Time to man the F up.

Why are you here? We didn’t even play you today, so why come and troll? Nevermind, that was a rhetorical question, I don’t want a response…

Same here,
Couldn’t have put it better myself. The Niners are as beatable as it gets. Outside of Oakland and Detroit.

Bear Down
If the Bears can focus on shutting down Gore, we should be fine. I am comfortable enough with A Smith as their QB for the Bears to get the job done, as long as Gore doesn’t “gore” us for 150+.
Double up on V Davis or keep a linebacker run stop/ spy on him and the Bears should take this one.

Daaaaaaaaaaa
BEARS!
I actually think this is a team that the Bears can match up well with—they can (should) focus completely on stopping the run (Gore) and obviously Davis…make SF’s offense one-dimensional then unleash the d-line for some vengeance.
D-line SHOULD play w/ fire and motivation, especially Tommie Boy.
Likewise, I think SF’s secondary is shaky (and injured, right?), so this might be an appropirate game to come out guns ablazing aerially…
As much as I think Forte needs/should be getting more action in the short passing game, the range and athlteicism of Willis worries me, too.
Bears ST help us pull it out, though.

Briggs on Gore like white on rice.
Like Urlacher did with purple jesus.
If we stop Gore, then we have a shot…if not hope you have plenty of cold beer, it’s going to be a long night…

Well, then, better get that ice-cold case of Milwaukees' Best ready
Remember Arizona was the worst rushing team in the league, heading into the game against the Bears. 187 yards later, I think we helped move them up a spot or two… Here’s hoping we can actually show up this time!

Who needs it more?
I think the Bears do, on the cusp of sub-.500, 3 games back of the Vikes AND if SF wins, then that’s yet ANOTHER WC tiebreaker we cough up (keep in mind, not exactly one that we will gain if we win as the Niners would be 3-5, but if we lose we can write off our playoff hopes anyway). If there was ever a gutcheck, gotta have it type game, to have ANY final hope of a playoff berth, this is it.
I hope we pull it out, but I gotta sneaking suspicion Davis is right about our D-Line.
Bears win, outgunning Smith and his WRs, and contain Gore to 90 yards with no score.
(fingers crossed)

I hope you're right
on your final prediction…
But this is starting to feel like last year all over again, isn’t it?—-i.e. wasn’t ARZ our gutcheck game?
Remember last year: THIS is the game where we REALLY turn things around. No—THIS is. No…
Then, w/ everything on the line in week 17, we choked it away.
(I hate to say it, but RIGHT NOW, I have a feeling we won’t even have an opportunity to choke anything away at the end of this season—it will all be decided already).
Then again, I may feel COMPLETELY different by the end of Thursday night’s game. I sure as hell hope I do.

I picked the bears in the voting
but who knows…this season is starting to remind me of the “good rex, bad rex” phrase. Who knows if it will be the good bears who show up like the ones that beat the steelers, or will it be the bad bears. To think, our only other 3 wins have come from the lions (hahah) the browns (lmao) and a hasselbeck-less seahawks….Are you f’in kidding me??? god i hope the niners are shitty as their record indicates……

60% for the Bears?
Huh.
Anyway, if nothing else this game should be a good measuring stick for how we’ll do against Peterson in a few weeks. If Gore runs through us like cheesecloth, then… well… I may start trying to figure out the rules of hockey.

Gore and VD
No, the latter isn’t a disease, but the beast of a TE. It’s going to be difficult for the Bears D to stop both of them. Keep your fingers crossed!
People who don’t care don’t respond, and people who do care do respond. Does that make sense Bronco fans trying to validate the trade?

If Davis hasnt woken up the Monsters of the Midway by his comments than nothing will.
“We will destroy them up front.” – Vernon Davis
We all wanted one of the coaches to light a fire under these players as*es, maybe Vernon did exactly that.

Yea but Ocho always does it every week and its almost always in jest.
I think Vernon might have gotten under their skin. He better keep his head on a swivel cause Briggs is a comin.

vernon davis def called out the D
will they respond is the question, but did you notice how he said he likes Ogunleye? is it mere coincidence that he faces Wale as a tight end? “oh you guys stink, but the monster im facing, uh hes good, i lke him”……Hope they make em eat his words

I want the Bears to win
I think the 49ers will…
Unless the Bears come out with an agression and a sense of urgency that they need to display.

Well wilt, I remember something different coming from you...
Bill – Next up is a game I like to call a “trap game”, playing a Thursday night in San Fran, against the Mike Singletary led 49ers.
Todd – Takes a Bear to beat a Bear.
Pat – A moment of silence for Samurai Mike…
Bill – He isn’t dead you know?
Pat – He’s dead to me after putting on the red and gold of the Niners.
Bill – Right. Brian Urlacher will show up big time with a pick 6, a safety, and a TD off a FG fake, Bears win 25-0.
Although, having Urlacher out may have changerized your mind.

I picked the Bears
I am not in the business of picking other teams against my Bears. Call me a homer all you like, I pick the Bears, and I root for the Bears. Nobody else matters.

Candlestick Question
I’m flying out to the game tomorrow. Have never been to Candlestick before. Anyone know what the best way to get there is? Rental Car? Bart? Train? Taxi cab? Any advice greatly appreciated.

Never been to Candlestick
but saw it on the way to the airport the two times I have been there, Not that long of a cab ride from downtown.

Candlestick
I live here and your best bet is a rental car since Candle stick is about 15-20 min drive

This link should be helpful.
I was there a couple years ago, and did the BART to Balboa Park Station, and then caught a bus. But, I think a taxi is the quickest and easiest by far. We were sight-seeing, so we did a lot of bus and BART riding.

We've stopped Turner
So I believe we can stop Gore. And both the Falcons and 9ers had above average TE but Smith is not as good as Ryan so I pick Bears to win
by BEARSFAN19 on Nov 11, 2009 4:11 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Bear's will win
This is my first time here since I live in the Bat Area but not or ever been a 9ers fan have like the Bear’s at time but there not my team either, but the Bear’s should beat the 9ers easy you have a great QB when he’s on his game and your Defence is just as good if not better. If you can keep Tommy in check all my friends are 9ers fans big time but it going to be so sweet when you guys come to town and slap them and Veron the mouth Davis. So I hope you don’t let me down cause nothing would be better than to see you guys put up big numbers.
by tallmex on Nov 11, 2009 4:21 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
bears are the cure
for what ails you.
they can’t beat anyone above mediocre, so this should be a close game.

Lmao.
Had you not forgotten to hit reply, that would have been perfect.
Why don’t you stick around this time? We need to try and raise the IQ of this place, and you keep bailing when the meatheads show up.

I have lost all faith in this season. I will definatley watch the game and continue to root for the Bears, but I know we will lose.

This game......
Could be a blowout on either side of the ball…..It just seems like one of those type of games….

You mean like either our offense fails to show
like the Browns game? Or our defense fails to show like the Cardinals game? Or we actually blow a team out? I’ll take option C if I have a choice. But at this point I’ll just take a win anyway I can get it. Blown call by the officials, field goal blocked by a passing pigeon, injury to Frank Gore, act of god……
If you can't laugh at yourself you must not be very funny.
