Even though the Bears are still technically only a game out of the playoff picture, this game is a must win. The Bears are struggling to get many aspects of their game working. They cannot block anybody, they cannot run the ball and they cannot cover anybody, which only gets worse with Kevin Payne and possibly Al Afalava out for this game. The only solace we get is that the 49ers aren't the most pass happy or pass efficient team, ranking 22nd in the league with 182 yards per game. If the Bears can stop Frank Gore and the run game, the Bears have a real shot at this game. The Bears have to start stringing some wins together. If they can, with two games still left against Minnesota, they can still make a run at the division crown, but they have to start now. |

i hate sounding so negative
but the solace you are talking about eludes me, simply by looking at what happened last week. The cards were supposedly a terrible run team….look what they did to us! The 9ers are not pass efficient and arent pass happy, but it seems like against the bears, a team can strengthen their own weaknesses and revive their lack of production in those areas. Its more crucial now with alfalava out and payne out, we lack tremendously in the secondary, and im praying we dont get exploited there.

True, though he was flush to the sideline, static, and facing the wrong way with a guy coming in on him. If he’d had a foot more space to turn upfield and run, it would’ve been the right thing to do… as it was, I don’t think there was any point in him taking a hit there, as the defender wasn’t coming in from the front (wrong angle to put the shoulder into).

Everything about this team screams RAIDERS
Penalties, turnovers in the red zone, horrible coaching, wasted draft picks, horrible free agent signings, supposed star players quitting.
