Why aren't the Bears using Devin Aromashodu more often?
In the NFL, you've got to have some tall wide receivers. The Bears don't have any, and their tallest receiver, who is DA ( 6'2) has only one catch for 10 yards. His first game as a receiver this season came against the 49ers with less than 17 seconds to play. Here's a guy who battled his butt off in spring training and Jay Cutler couldn't praise him enough.I think he has better hands than Hester, average speed, and an all around descent guy. Teams don't know much about him. Think he's going to be a secret weapon, or what? Personally, I just want to see him play more. He used to be a former Indianapolis Colts. Maybe he got some advice from Wayne, or back then, Harrison.

He was a 7th round draft pick in 2006
and has been with 2 different teams every year since then.
The Bears typically only dress 4 WRs each game, but Aromashodu got the call when Wolfe got hurt, to fill in on STs.
So, the reason he hasn’t been used more, is simply because the team didn’t feel like he could contribute more than Hester, Knox, Bennett, or Davis.
Now that DA is dressing for STs work, he should likely see the field on a few offensive plays here and there.

Clarity:
…has been with 2 different teams every year since then.
Except this year of course.

Knox
performing well out of the gate certainly didn’t help his chances any

If the season
continues the way it has gone, then I can see him getting some substantial PT. Lovie will need to properly evaluate all these “fringe” guys for next year.

In a way...
…this sort of thing makes me wonder how much the coaching staff really values their QB’s opinion.
If Cutler’s saying things like, “I’d like to be able to throw to this guy sometimes”, maybe, just maybe, you should let him throw it to him sometimes. Can’t hurt, right?

isn't that a picture of rideau up there?
but yeah, i am all for seeing DA get on the field…especially in the red zone. it’d be nice to see da team at least attempt new ways to not f up in the red zone.

Cow Path.
A term used to describe humans who always follow the same path over and over again without change. What the Bears have been doing is NOT WORKING. Join me fellow Bears fans off the cow path and the new trail of Devin Aromashodu!

Airlocking Brandon Rideau was a big mistake.
DA and BR would have been great additions – Rideau was a vet too …
DA was out for a long time so he could be about to show us more ….

We don't see it all & Remember SP Teams
the 4th wr they dress on game day has to play sp teams. Has he shown them he is willing and cpable of doing so. At pratice is he making the correct sight adjustment. As fans, people more times than not, don’t realize all thats going on. That being said, Davis has lived out his usefulness and if DA is at all close to being ready, its time to put him out there a bit more.

If Aramoshodu can contribute on special teams
I think they may want to consider working him into the active/game-day list this year. I don’t know if he’s the answer to cutting down on the INTs, but Cutler seems to be very comfortable with him, and he played well in camp. I still think we need to figure out a way to stretch the field with Knox and Hester, but DA may have a place on this team.

stretching the field
with them or any wideouts will only happen when we have the threat of a running game. Untill then the oppossing safteies can lay back

Damn!
It is the picture of Rideau! Well, he’s another receiver that looked good in preseason. AND I’ve never seen Iglesia. Why do the Bears draft rookies that they never use?

You have to think of the bigger picture.
They can’t activate all of their wideouts because they can only activate 53 total guys. Hester, Bennett, and Knox have all been producing so they have been active and Rashied because of his special team play. I don’t think they are drafting rookies and never using them, it’s just that they are not in a position to sub plant any of the vets. Rideau was cut too if you didn’t know that.

I think we should use him more
Maybe even start against the Eagles. Give Jay whatever he wants. Maybe then he will play better.
