Early line on the "dragon"

5 rec, 197 yds, 3 TDs.

maybe

Maybe Pace still has a scrap of his all-pro mojo left and will use it against Jared Allen. I like to think the old war horse can still call it up.

Pace vs. Allen

This may get ugly fast. JA plays with a great motor, leverage, and speed; I foresee Pace shoved many times into Cutler. Everyone keep their collective fingers crossed!

Maybe

Maybe not. Allen is tall and plays high. Pace seems to struggle more against really strong guys who come in low. Allen isn’t that heavy, although he’s really fast.

I’d worry more about the Vikes tackles just caving in our middle than I would about Jared running around the corner.

Any way you look at it, it’s a tough day for the offensive line.

for sure

Chip Block his ass.....

He is a good pass rusher but if you address him with a chip block or straight double hes as average as Demarcus Ware when chip blocked!

McNeil

I hope his reports are true about the Bears brass reaching out to Shanny, Gruden, and Cowher. Any one of those three coaches will do, and would jump at the chance to be the man in Chicago. While they’re at it, get Holmgren to be the GM.

Well if we get Cowher.

JA can stay GM he seems like a push over. We were drafting good D players when Rivera was there. So if we get Cowher we would probably get who ever he wanted.

Cower as head coach

And Holmgren (or really anybody who knows football) as GM would be a nice holiday gift from the McCaskeys to the Chicago Bears’ fans.

Yes it would

If not, unfortunately we’re looking at a similar ’10 season.

I really wanna see the Bears go to a 3-4 defense.

I’d love to see Cowher. Would shanny take a OC job?Probley not.

No

but he may take a job without complete GM control.

I agree about the switch to a 3-4 defense; I think Gaines Adams might be a terror as an OLB in the scheme.

you're going to the dome on sunday?

you are a brave soul. not because of the enemy fans but to watch a likely first-rate drubbing of the bears in person takes a high level of nausea control.

by reefermadness3 on Nov 27, 2009 2:20 PM CST reply actions

I know.

It’s gonna be interesting, to say the least. But, I’m excited to watch Cutler….I have to be excited about something, right?

and I thought

it will be embarassing to watch another nationally televised game of a Bears drubbing. Good luck Chifan!

true that

hopefully you will be lucky enough to end up sitting near one of the 5 girls (yes you in fact can count them all on one hand) that can be considered legitimate eye candy amongst the sea of sweathogs that pass for de wimmen up there.

hope you drop a line about your dome experience next week; one of these years me and the missus plan on watching a game up there

Yeah?

Where do you live currently?

I’ll definitely let ya know how it goes….I’m expecting the worse from both the fans and the game. Could be a long afternoon.

chicago - logan square neighborhood

calling their girls sweathogs is the best/worst i came up with as there isn’t much pro-bears smack to talk up for the game

yes

So many Swedes and Danes around there – what an ugly lot.

The nice thing about Viking fans (yes they have their good points)

they aren’t very passionate about their team. They kind of cheer for their team but without any zeal or zest. I’ve only attended three Bears games in the dome but for the most part, I saw nearly enough Bear fans to feel almost welcome. At times it felt like we were playing on a neutral field. If they talk any smack, and very few of them will, simply ask them if they’ve lost any super bowls lately. That usually subdues them a bit.

If you can't laugh at yourself you must not be very funny.

Please

Do not start the “We are better fans” argument, IMO it looks pitiful. Even if its true it does not matter one bit.

Cutler...

In person = a good f*cking time. Went to the ATL game and despite the loss, pretty awesome experience. Hope yours is as well.
