2006: Bears vs Cardinals

I hope you all don't mind us posting this, as most have probably watched it a million times.  But, I thought this might be a good time-killer until SackMan gets his highly-anticipated Game Preview posted.  I love some of the quotes...

Kurt Warner:  "I've never seen anything like it."

Rex Grossman to Matt Leinart:  "You deserved to win this."

Greatest 4th QTRS

Loved watching the ’06 Bears/Cards MNF game last night on NFL Network. I found it to be better quality t.v. vs Bulls/Cavs on TNT and ’Hawks/Coyotes on CSN. Hope Hester will play and re-create this ’06 drama.

Yep, me also

I watched that after we were all talking about it here in another thread. And watching Denny Green totally implode at the end was priceless, again.

Only other thing I kept thinking besides how badly Rex was that night (I mean, SO bad!), was how awful the Cardinals’ coaching was in that 4th quarter.

Oh, and how Joe Thiesman’s awesome predictions just kept coming unglued. The best one was his assessment of Leinart: ’He’s the real deal!’

I'm not so mean. I wouldn't ever go out to hurt anybody deliberately - unless it was, you know, important, like a league game or something. - Dick Butkus

You can't possibly believe that LeBron sucks at the game of basketball.

You are all gentlemen (and ladies) and good judges of cheap whiskey.

Did I stutter..............

The guy has made TWO game winning shots in his SEVEN year career. And all they ever want to do is compare him to MJ, Jordan pulls up for a game winning jumper last night and there is no question of whether or not he makes that shot. Now do I think that he good, yes of course no argument there, but is he better than Kobe, NO NO NO. Kobe is WAYYYYYYY closer to what Jordan was than what LeBron is, and LeBron aint no rookie anymore. I just get tired of all the hype. He might be ONE of the most explosive players to ever play the game, but there is alot more to basketball than thunderous dunks. He has a long ways to go before he is put up in the upper echelon of players of ALL TIME in my mind.

Answer me this GEAUX (yea youre still GEAUX whether you like it or not) forget will LeBron ever catch Jordan in championships (which is how you define a career) will he ever even catch Kobe???

Wow.

Soapbox, much? None of that has anything to do with my reply to you.

Unless, of course, when you said that LeBron sucks, you actually meant that he isn’t as good as MJ and Kobe. If that was the case, I totally missed that.

I know what you meant.

But you couldnt of actually thought I meant hes the worst in basketball. Just in comparison to the better players in the league or of all time. Which is what everyone else likes to compare him to. Even he compares himself to MJ, look at his jersey number or how he does his chalk throw. Like Mike If He Could Be Like Mike

And just what in the world does Soapbox mean.

Bad Rex

4 INTs in that game. I was reminded with his 4th pick with approx 5 min left in game. Unreal how they won.

Huge whiff.

Almost seemed like he thought he’d be getting there right when the ball would.

Agree

I miss having a good, dependable defense.

Still one of the most amazing things I have ever seen.

The Cardinals always find ways to lose games that they should win, but that just took it to a whole new level.

I think Buffalo is the only team who is better at blowing leads [the Bills/Patriots MNF game earlier this season] than the Cardinals.

Lifelong Arizona Cardinals/Chicago Bears fan.

No band-wagoner fans allowed, pick a team and stick with em, throughout the good and the bad.

I remember this well

I was listening to the radio feed online since I didn’t have ESPN at the time. My USC loving friend emailed me at half “how ’bout them Bears” and talking about Leinart. I was just flipping out at the defensive stands. Loved seeing the clip of Mike Brown on this, man I wish he could have stayed healthy for us.

There Is Only One Problem Here

I’m afraid the Bears and the Tampa 2 are going to show me’ what I thought are’ on Sunday. I hope I’m wrong.
