After a rather sloppy, but a no contest against the Cleveland Browns the Bears welcome the 4-3 Arizona Cardinals. I'm sure we can expect all the shows to show highlights and run interviews considering the up and down game that saw the Bears pull of one of the most unexpected comebacks. It is probably a good be we will see good ol Denny Green's speech a few times, maybe somebody will even dig him up for a few minutes. The Cardinals come in still boosting of the leagues best passing offenses averaging 263 yards per game. Its a good thing though since they also have the league's worst run game managing a paltry 64 yards a game. The Bears get a little help with Anquan Boldin still hurting and may not play. This is a game the Bears can win and if they have any hopes of making it to the playoffs, they need this one. The Vikings are running away with the division and the Bears can't afford to fall back any more games. |

Well unless his line starts...
blocking he will probably throw a few. It’s hard to expect more when he is running back with defenders in his face every time he throws.
I hope they can block better it would be nice to see our running game get going again.

I'm just as frustrated with him as you are
but damn, he took some vicious licks last week and still stood tall and completed some important passes. I think it’s fair to say that he’s sucked, sometimes royally, but the line has sucked as well. If you don’t have a run-game (also because of the line and Forte), a passing game gets a helluva lot harder to execute.

You can say he kind of sucks. You can say he’s a baby. But you can’t call him a wimp or anything. He is one tough guy. He was actually spitting up blood last week, but he stayed in the game. So yeah, I’ll give him that.

game today watch how many times cutler has to drop straight back with a defender in his face and throw off his back foot. Most of his interceptions have come from those situations. Now i am not saying all of them have but interceptions are going to happen especially when your team is still working on chemistry.

If
we don’t see a roll out, deep ball, or outside run (successful or not) on our first drive then I’m worried.
If we see soft cover 2 on their first third down then I’m worried.
Because it adds one more week that coaching has been unable/unwilling to change their thinking.

Because Lovie protects everyone. Can you imagine what Ozzie Guillen would say after a game like this? LOL. Lovie will say “We’ll look at the tape and work to get better. We did some good things and we’ll build on those for next week”
I can’t see how he has any support. The SB year came about because of an easy schedule and a horrible NFC. What big games has he won convincingly in his tenure?
The Lovie era needs to end. There are numerous Super Bowl winning coaches looking for the right situation and the Chicago job comes with a good young QB, an owner that doesn’t intefere (or perhaps care) and a loyal and proud fanbase. Cowher? Shannahan? Gruden? Those are the 3 in order preference I’d call.

Yes and...
I’d take it a step further and fire Jerry Angelo as well. Yeah, he got Jay Cutler and I still think that was a good move but a big part of the reason this team is as bad as it is, is a serious lack of talent. For a team that supposedly builds through the draft, JA has missed on way too many picks and has refused to adequately address positions like WR and the DB’s. If they’re going to clean house, clean the whole house.
