Can you trade a coach in the NFL?
Just curious???? Never seen it happen nor discussed.
Someone out there will surely pick up Lovie's contract. And since McCaskey has stated she will not fire him because he has contract monies left.
Seems like the same garbage gets recycled over and over. Is there really no scouting for new coach blood? You constantly see someone fail only to be picked up by another team and expects different results, doesn't seem to work much.

Sort of...
If another team expresses interest in Lovie, they can work out some sort of draft pick compensation for him.
Tampa Bay wanted Jon Gruden from Oakland in 2002 and gave up ’02 and ’03 1st round draft picks, ’02 and ’04 2nd round draft picks, and $8 million cash for the right to sign him

Reaching new lows at WCG since 2005
Is this a serious post? And when did McCaskey say she wouldn’t fire someone? Link to that info? Besides, Jerry Angelo makes those decisions.

I would trade Lovie Smith for a bag of skittles

If I was making the deal,
I would be satisfied with just 2 skittles of each color.

I was thinking the trick-or-treat bag size. Not the standard.

how about firing?
Mike Shanahan and Jay Cutler did well together!

I'd like Lovie gone tomorrow, but what did Shanahan and Cutler accomplish?
As has been stated several times, Jay has never had a winning record in the college or pros. I don’t see Shanahan as the answer. I think new blood and better coordinators/position coaches would get these guys playing harder and better.
