The picture of sweetness
depresses me. because our football team can’t even hold that teams jock strap. playing injured and playing hard, with heart. not for the money.

I'd start singing Woodson's praises too.
If you make absolutely certain everyone knows how much you respect him, it might sting less when you throw him two picks because Devin Hester didn’t realize the ball was going inside instead of out.

Or when Jay makes the wrong read
or makes an ill-advised throw cause he thinks he has to.

People are being too sensitive about Jay Cutler
Many of the so-called “bashings” that we accuse other people of taking, in my opinion, are really just factual statements being made by people who have been there. I listened to the clips by Boomer Esiason and he made it very clear that he is speaking from experience when he discusses Jay’s troubles. There wasn’t anything he said that isn’t true.
A lot of people on this site have noted the lack of a strong coaching presence to keep Cutler in line by showing him some tough love, and this seemed to be the main point in Esiason’s comments. Jay has made bad decisions, he has been careless with the ball, and he does, at times, look completely beaten. All of these things were said about him in Denver at times as well, so if he’s going to develop into the QB we all hope he can be, the Bears need to get a better, stronger, coaching staff to keep him on the path he needs to be on. No doubt, the supporting cast is way too weak for him to carry the team by himself, that’s an excuse for having a losing record, it’s not an excuse for poor decisions and forcing the ball in the redzone which, again, has been the knock on him since college.
Letting him off the hook because of the other players’ failings is not the way to develop him into a great QB. He is a young guy, with all the potential in the world, but if the Bears don’t make the changes during the off-season to get him in line, then we’re just “developing” the reinforcement of his bad habits.

Good call,
I like Cutler and hate to see him punished for bad facial expressions. That said he needs to be held accountable for his decisions and the things that he does control during the game.
Great picture Dane.
JA's Q&A
There’s so much he said without saying anything at all. You’re right, he could run for office with the mastery of words he compiles. I wonder if those questions are chosen by the Bears brass themselves- he probably has time to carefully answer those questions wisely.
