The Bears Den: 12/11/09

...where we are predicting a victory at Soldier Field Sunday.

Our offense has been bad, now will face #1 D in the NFL.

Add Pace to the Over the Hill Hall of Fame.

Bears not likely to make changes at Safety this week.

Hester could miss practice Friday with calf injury.

Pace could miss Sunday's game.  That would prevent a sticky situation at LT.

LOL.

Star-divide

Bears determined to get pressure on Rodgers.  That would be helpful.

Cutler needs to complain less and focus more.

Ogunleye has big plan for Sunday.  We're rooting for ya.

Are the Pack Super Bowl sleepers?  This article says so.

Ouch.

Briggs not worried about jorb security.  Duh.

Our big victory over the Super Bowl champs is looking weaker and weaker

lucky for the Steelers, they don’t have to play the Lions or the Rams. Losing to the Raiders and Browns in consecutive weeks might be the most embarassing follow up season for any Super Bowl champion in history.

I remember reading about that bet...

and thinking “This has to be one of the single dumbest yet most hilarious things I’ve ever seen.”

biggs

Biggs at the Chicago Trib reported that nose tackle B.J. Raji has been speaking some provoking words about Kreutz. We’ll see how Kreutz responds on the field.

It's not football related...

…but if you want to talk about coaches who need to lose their jobs, I think Del Negro fits the bill pretty solidly.

At least with the Bulls losing they have a chance with a high draft pick

Plus they are trying to bid for Wade, James, or Bosh next offseason.(well I hope they are anyways)

Cutler

He definitely needs to complain less to the officials, but they need to call those obvious PI penalties where a defender goes through a WR to get to the ball. I don’t really trust Lovie to do it for him. Does Lovie really talk at all during a game? He’s the epitome of a figure-head.

Dom Capers

First year with the team, new defensive scheme, four games left in the regular season and the defense is ranked 1st in the league? That’s pretty impressive, indeed. The thing I wonder about is with all of the praise Lovie and Ron lavished on Mr. Capers in the article, did the Bears organization make even a casual attempt to bring Capers on board as DC for Chicago? Seems like at the time he was available it was a need to be addressed for the Bears. Maybe they did try and I just didn’t hear about it. Anybody know?

It wouldn't matter

If they contacted Capers or not because Lovie would never allow Angelo to ever even think if tweaking his beloved manure-like Cover-2.
