Around SBN: Jeremy Lin Continues Rampage, New York Wins On Road

Hello Bears Fans!!! Ask a Norseman

I "Percy Harvin My Fav!" am coming over here from "Dailynorseman" to see if you guys have any questions about the Vikings since the last time we met like a month ago. A lot of things have happened since then so I will be glad to help with any questions.

I will be respectful as I can so dont worry about asking an "edgy" question.

Heres to hoping there is a great game between both teams that will go down as one of the games of the year.

Im amped for some MNF!

lol

Will Favre bean Chilly in the head if he tries to sit him again?

Honestly, we’re just waiting for the game to be over. I don’t think you’re going to find many excited folks over here.

But its a division game

and for lack of a better term how crappy the Bears are playing right now i am ALWAYS scared for division games espicially on the road.

MNF

There’s no better cure to a stalled running game and a struggling QB than the Chicago Bears!! This is going to be another massacre!!

Favre-286 yds, 2 TDs 1 INT
Peterson-175 yds, 3 TDs

Vikings 38
Bears 10

This season can’t end soon enough!!!

You shut your mouth when you're speakin' to me! ;)

Three questions:

1) Who is this Adrian Peterson cat you guys have running the ball – do you think he can establish himself as an effective back in the NFL or do you think he’ll be kicking it around in the Arena league in a few years?

2) If Brett Favre crapped in the woods and no one were around to hear it… wait, not fair… of course there’d be people around, it’s Brett Favre!

3) Bears. Beets. Battlestar Gallactica.

Best part about this weekend… no matter what, I get to drop the purple and don the and Navy and Burnt Orange once again. Skol Bears!

Answers

1) Well that Adrian Peterson cat has made his way around the block a few times as you Bears fans know quite well but in all seriousness I think what is happening is
A) Our O-Line is not as good as it once was meaning Hutch and McKinnie are aging and
B) Chilly is getting away from what made us a winning team which was pounding the rock and throwing just enough to keep the Defense honest

2) Well considering Adam Schefter is like Brett Favres own personal twitter acount yes I think the whole world would know.

and 3) IDK

by Percy Harvin My Fav! on Dec 23, 2009 1:49 PM CST up reply actions

Those are all incorrect.

Let me help out here…

1) Adrian Peterson is the NFL reincarnation of Herschel Walker, and will be traded to the Dallas Cowboys after next season in what will go down as the largest trade in NFL history. More than 18 players/ draft picks will be involved.

2) Chuck Norris would be the one holding the toilet paper.

3) Trick question. The real answer is Mike Ditka.

You are correct, sir!

That is also an incorrect answer.

The correct answer is:

whats up with bryant mckinnie

was he playing hurt or something the other day? julius peppers was going crazy the entire game. i don’t remember too clearly but i think i remember mckinnie getting little or no help which seemed like a bad mover after he got beat several times. i mean i know the vikings aren’t worried one bit, nor should they be, about getting effective 1 on 1 blocking against our embarrassing DE ultra-flyweights adams and anderson (alex brown is still pretty good though). just curious as to why they didn’t help him or his replacement out.

what do you think the margin of victory will be? i think we are going to do better than expected and only lose by 20 or so.

by reefermadness3 on Dec 23, 2009 4:29 PM CST reply actions

Mckinnie

Ugh… He rode the pine the end of the game for his poor performance. I dont think it had anything to do with an injury. He just got FLAT OUT BEAT by Peppers and it didn’t help by Chilly refusing to send “Saucer” over to help.

And I honedtly think the end of the score will be 30-28 with Longwell hitting the gamewinner as time expires. Now call me crazy but its a division game, its cold, and its gonna be crappy field conditions. And the Vikings have proved that we arent the best with 2 and 3 which is why I think itll be close.

Enjoy the belated Xmas present...

If there was one team that can help the Viqueens (and I mean that in the nicest possible way)it’s the Bears. No one will talk about the Favre-Chilly dust up when the MN team dismantles a disinterested Bears team. My guess is a modest blow out based upon Favre’s distaste for cold weather games on the road. So in the spirit of goodwill we give to you what’s left of our dignity and hope nobody gets hurt. Good luck in the playoffs because you’ll need it, but for this week rest easy and enjoy the easy pickins (pun intended). You are a rare MN fan who doesn’t drop by to gloat or trash talk, so I wish you the least amount of pain and frustration when the Bears return to prominence and MN is again a loser!

When you find yourself in a hole, STOP DIGGING!!!

Well thank you

I enjoy trash talking as much as the next guy but Im not gonna come over just to do that. Im an NFL fan before Im a Viking Fan which means I respect everybodys decision to be a fan of their choosing. (Yes even Packer fans ;)

I think this is the game when Chilly goes back to basics

expect Farve to only have about 20-24 attempts and AP to run wild, he is prolly tired of all this fumbling and Chris Johnson talk. He’s gonna have a chip on his shoulder.

by Chitownproduct on Dec 27, 2009 5:24 AM CST up reply actions

I think they run a lot

but aren’t the Bears better at run defense than pass defense? Peterson can always go off, but its not guaranteed.

With the way we’re winding down the season, “better” is such a relative term.

What's the word on your boy Harvin?

Will his migraines be a constant nusiance for his entire career? Is he ready to play on Monday?

Also, what are the odds of Favre and Chilly getting in a shoving match if the Vikes accidently fall to the Cubs, I mean Bears?

"But it doesn't matter what I do, what I choose. I'm what's wrong. This is fate" - Dexter season 4....I mean Lovie season 6.

by propheteer on Dec 24, 2009 10:47 AM CST reply actions

My boy

Percy has a couple of bulging disks in his neck which he did play throw on Sunday. He was going to go to the MAYO Clinic this week to get that all checked out. He is migraine free for the time being which is why he played last Sunday. At this point right now I would say that Percy will play on Monday but anything can happen between now and then.

Hahaha. This whole Favre v Chilly thing has gotten blown out of proportion. Steve Young said it best when he said how if he was in Favre’s situatuion he would’ve done the same thing. Brett is a competitor and when the game is that close he wants to be out there contributing as does everyother player out there.

But to answer your question I dont think that would happen. lol

But the real question is what are the odds of Cutler and Olsen getting into it if Cutler accidently overthrows Olsen and gets it picked off? ;)

Yeah right

I haven’t seen a whole lot of friction between the two, but I guess anything is possible at this point. Olsen has proved he’s kind of soft, and won’t hang on to the tough catches, and Jay has proved….well you know. I don’t believe anything Jay does is an accident; I secretly believe he’s conspiring to get the entire coaching staff fired.
