Announced this evening, Chicago Bears OLB Lance Briggs has been named a starter for the NFC in the 2010 Pro Bowl in Miami, FL.
This marks the fifth time Briggs has been voted in. So far in 2009, Briggs has 106 tackles (83 solo), 2.5 sacks, 5 pass deflections, and 1 INT, despite missing week 13 against St. Louis.

Briggs desers it. He is amazing.
Meanwhile, six Eagles made got voted in, and maybe 3 or 4 deserved it.
I think the players and coaches should vote.
Congrats to Briggs.
Here’s a complete look at the rosters, without having to navigate away.

To sum it up, Minnesota has eight, Green Bay has three and 2/3 of the NFC QB’s come from the North.

"Minnesota has eight"
That makes the win even better. Even when we have some starters hurt. MUWAHAHA., lol
Well deserved Briggsy!...
Add Izzy, A Brown, Hilly, A Adams, Alfalfa, Tillman, and Payne as the man-up guys on this defense. Each of them put in their 110% every week and often play through injuries.
When you find yourself in a hole, STOP DIGGING!!!
Know was named 2nd alternate
which is pretty awesome for a rookie WR.
Also, he will NOT require surgery on ankle. Just a bad sprain, which is about 100x better than it looked when it happened.
And an update for those (like me) wondering:
Peanut is still in the hospital with cracked ribs and bruised lungs… won’t need surgery but will probably be in hospital a few days.

Hmm...
I either missed that last night, or the alternates were not selected by the time I posted this.
Good for Knox, being selected as the 2nd alternate for returner.
Bu that makes me wonder… DeSean Jackson was selected as the starting returner for the NFC, but he is not a kick returner, he just does punts. And vice versa for Knox.
So, I’m guessing because the Pro Bowls are typically not as aggressive as a normal game, they just use one guy for both kick returns and punt returns? I wonder who the first alternate is…
You are all gentlemen (and ladies) and good judges of cheap whiskey.
Where's the love for #9
Robbie has been clutch all year (last nights OT aside). Is there actually someone in the NFC better than him???
He's been more clutch than Akers
that’s for darn sure. But yeah the other night was definetly an anomaly.

Maynard should be the punter.
And don’t get me started at the travesty that our very own MVP was not selected as special teamer. Did they not see his tackle the other night, Come on man….
