Urlacher has a lot to say from the sidelines

The sideline definitely does not suit Brian Urlacher. He has been pretty grumpy lately, though the Bears horrific playing could have a lot to do with that.
One reporter decided to spend the weekend with him and Urlacher had a lot to say about the things that bother him about the way football is played today by a lot of players.
Urlacher was amazed that Arizona Cardinals cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie(notes) jawed with Johnson in the end zone. "What are you talking [expletive] for, Cromartie?" he said. "He just went 85 yards for a TD! What could he be saying? ‘I’m just as fast as you’?"

Urlacher gets my vote for "Bears player you'd most like to hang out with"
The guy seems like a lot of fun to be around.
The power play is still f**king clown shoes
Let's be real.
So what Urlacher has a lot to say. I remember when football players played with broken arms, wrist “hell I think someone had a broken ankle or foot before and played.” But I guess that was when real men played football. “Right Mr. Butkus?” Look, the offense stinks. They went away from the run, and they went too passing without setting up the pass with the run. We have a class A running back that don’t have a chance because Lovie and his offensive coordinator can’t get it together. Then you have a gun slinger at QB, that looks like Sexy Rexy by his interception rate. Time to clean house starting with the front office including Lovie. Get some nice young studs to run the routes and catch the ball. Find a QB coach that can get control of Cutler (5 picks in 1 game!) then get Urlacher back in the line up instead of on the sideline making comments. This weekend Rams/Bears 24-21 (Sad to say not the Bears)
Yeah and I remember when we all walked 8 miles through 3 feet of snow to get to school, but
Urlacher’s wrist was dislocated and a bone was out of place which was pressing on a nerve, and could have resulted in permanent loss of use of his hand and/or forearm. The decision not to play was a doc’s decision because the injury had to be immobilized. It would have been far better if he had had a simple break of the bone.

People seem to forget
that Rex was also a gunslinger….he just didn’t have the raw ability, that’s where his interceptions came from. He made bad reads and tight judgements, and I still think it’s because he could see the field well from behind the offensive line.

His injury
was potentially career injuring… there was a chance for nerve damage if he didn’t get surgery to fix it immediately. study your s#%$.
So what Urlacher talks shit.I think are team needs motivation and controversy being in this situation and all.The Bears aren’t 12-0 11-1 so why not talk shit about Cutler, defense, and are head coach.
Except you’d have to be inhuman not to be just a little irked that, essentially, someone who’s comfortably out of the situation is talking crap about you. Urlacher’s meant to be a leader, but that’s not leadership. I know Mike Brown said “We suck” a few years but he included himself in that.

If you read the whole article
He actually did talk a bit about the Bears and it wasn’t exactly what you’d call supportive.

I did read the entire articale.
Ok so what Urlacher talks shit.Listen, lets face that fact, are coach doesn’t speak up Cutler is to new to speak up are OC is terrible and everyone isn’t playing with full intensity (with exceptions to Johnny Blaze ) This is Urlachers team has been for 7-8 years now.Generally the Bears have been lucky with players and there mouths, like for instance we haven’t had a TO or someone of that persona since Jim Mcman,.Jim backed up his mouth with playing, but so has Urlacher.Brian should get a free pass here he deserves it.
Lovie Smith
If you have noticed the look on L. Smith’s face during a game, the guy looks and acts like he hasn’t a clue as to what is going on. The Bears have a good team, they just need a head coach who can light a fire under their butts and a QB coach to settle Cutler down a little.
Must be tough
"Why is Lovie wearing a jacket? It’s a dome!"
One of the many inexplicable things Lovie has done this season!
Urlacher has gotten some benefits out of his pink cast – "The girls love it; it’s an aphrodisiac," he said
Must be tough to be a well-known athlete with a lot of time on your hands. Word to the wise- pretend to keep it on a little longer Brian!
Did anyone read the excerpt about Rachel Uchitel? She’s the aussie who Tiger had a fling with. “Wow, just wow.”

Title of the article is misleading...
…unless, the sidelines also include his brother’s condo.
Shouldn’t the ‘leader’ of the defense be at the game, injury or not?
Yeah, you would’ve thought he could apply his experience and knowledge to look at what the opposing offense is doing, help out the linebacker who’s calling the plays, that sort of thing. What’s he making this year – $8,000,000?

That is what I said too
Why does he not have a headset on or at least meeting with HH on the sidelines coaching him?
Good article.
But I think DRC and Chris Johnson are friends, I read something about them racing each-other a while ago [I think it said DRC won]. He was probably just having fun.

We need to get Urlacher back on the field soon...
He does nothing but run his mouth off of the field.
What I don’t get is how he doesn’t realize how these comments play out in the press. It’s fine if its something he says with a group of buddies. That is how he feels, fine. But you can’t say those things if they are going to be put in newsprint unless you want them to be taken the wrong way.
