Bad News
The following is a link to NFL.com, it says that the Panthers are expected to sign Jordan Gross to a new deal this week, that will give him about $9 million per year.
I guess this takes him of the wish list for the Bears, and means the Bears will have to pick some new lineman, Khalif Barnes or Vernon Carey(thought to be a better guard than tackle), and do everything to sign him, before they are gone. Otherwise the O-Line will be 10x worse than last years, and that is a scary thought.

Hate to bring this up,
But there is no way the Phins dont re-sign Vernon Carey.
Things will get better as they improve...
Now that I think about it...
There might be a chance they let him go. The article said that Jake Long, Miami’s 1st round pick last year, is making the highest salary for an offensive lineman. I don’t know about there cap situation, but they would be putting a lot of money into there O-Line, when they have other needs.
There was a blurb on Rotoworld a few days ago
that Parcells doesnt think Carey is worth the money he get. Personally, I would like a cheaper option like Stacey Andrews or Barnes though.
Andrews is not much different than St. Clair....
in the fact that he doesn’t have “one” true position. The Bengals franchised him last year, simply because their line was horrible, and Andrews could’ve played LG, RG, or RT for them.
He’s huge… but hasn’t proven himself to be a guy you’d pay top dollar for.
I'm not going to even bother trying to update this sig everyday anymore... that's what the standings column on ESPN is for.

Jordan Gross was never on the Bears wish list.
Maybe ours (the fans) but Jordan gross is soon to be the highest paid O-lineman ever. I’m sure the Bears had never given him serious consideration. And why do you suppose the O-line will be 10x worse? Because Tait is retiring?

Andrews
injured his knee in the last game of 08. He had reconstructive surgury and his doctor says he will be ready by training camp. He will have to sign a prove it contract.
