Lance Briggs Makes Most of Pro Bowl

Briggsprobowl_medium

So, I apparently missed the story of Briggs making the Pro Bowl; I assume somebody pulled out for injury and he made it in. While there with family, he caught up with some former players like Thomas Jones, but made the most of his time on the field with 6 tackles (leading the NFC squad).

Yes, I know this is a bit of a fluff piece, but when no news exists, go the scantily-clad girl route.

Either way, drop any comments on the Pro Bowl here.

Anyone Else noticed...

how Al Michaels seemed slightly irritated in the broadcast booth next to a slurred, stuttering, Chris Collinsworth?

by ifuwannacrownem on Feb 9, 2009 11:57 AM CST reply actions

I thought Collinsworth might have been drunk

He looked really out of it yesterday. Had the ol’ glassed eyes and smiled at every single thing Michaels said.

But Madden slurs his speech every day

maybe Collinsworth was trying to fill the role.

It was on when I turned the TV on

I saw Briggs, so I stayed for a series and then that was it.

But it's going to be in Miami next year

That should increase interest a whole 0.0001%.

and when the two SB teams who make up 20 of the guys on

the Pro Bowl roster don’t show, it will really make everybody interested, right?

I kinda understand why the NFL moved it up

They want to use it as an “appetizer” to the “main course” of the Super Bowl. However a turd is still a turd no matter if you eat before or after your meal.

Gonna have to trust you on that one...

I'm not even referencing the tast

If I am AZ or Pitt and the Pro Bowl is before the SB, I don’t let my players go. I’ll pay the fine or accept whatever penalty that comes with.

The Pro Bowl is already next to useless, how will it be without anybody from the two teams that are fighting for the championship in it?

yeah and the fact that..

Baseball has the home run derby, basketball has the slam dunk and contest and three point shootout. what the hell would football have to lure the audience to watch the pro bowl?

They could do some skill things if they wanted

The biggest problem with bball is that the starters are fan choice and you have to start voting like 3 weeks into the season. That is just poor planning all around.

If I had a lambo

I’d want to crash it into those two as well. Of course if I had a lambo I could probably find something even better to crash it into…

I've been around.

Just watching, observing, on the outside looking in, wandering to and fro. You know I’m a very busy man my duties are many. The powers that be have made it a bit difficult for me perform in my full potential. I have to pick and choose my moments of opportunity very carefully.

Briggs made it without an injury getting him in.

larry has that system down to a science. Especially with the way the economy is….big wigs like larry coming in dressed in their mink coats and 24k gold cigarrete holders with pockets lined with coke make for a large draw during shift changes.
