Bye Bye Bryant

the Detroit Lions signed bryant johnson today, as it appears johnson is ok going to football hell

there goes one of our favorite potential FA targets, i hope JA has a plan for the WR position (common sense tells me he doesn't)

housh is still out there but we all know he is very interested in another NFC north counterpart the Minnesota Vikings

what do you think we should do about the WR position?

I'm thinking

We try Peanut or Graham at WR and see how they look?

No big whoop.

"You win because of the quarterback. We have to get that position stabilized. We're fixated on that.

We know it's the most valuable position on the football team. We've gone through so many scenarios at that position we can write a book, moreso on what not do."

WRs still available

that I would tolerate:

Housh (obviously)

DJ Hackett
Lavaraneus Coles
Ronald Curry
Mike Furrey
Darrell Jackson
Demetrius Williams

None of the above are the answer to our problems, but are an upgrade over what we have (which is zippo).

Potential trade targets (guys who will be a free agent next year and may not be in their teams long term plans:
Braylon Edwards
Kevin Walter
Chris Chambers
Vincent Jackson
Maurice Stovall

Slim pickins. That’s why Jerry needs to pony up and get Housh.

DEJESUS!!!

I wouldn't mind Edwards

Dunno how that’d work out w/ his contract and how much we’d have to pay him but it’d be worth it in the long run. Edwards, Hester, Olsen, and Forte sounds good to me and they’re all young. Also wouldn’t mind Coles, Hackett, Williams, or Nate Washington either. Luckily Jerry Angelo is our GM so we’ve got a good shot at getting any of them.

Scratch Darrell Jackson off the list.

He was awful last year.

I vote for Shaun McDonald.

The Rams

are shopping Tory Holt. He would be a good mentor for our young WRs,
