Let's Play Favorites
This is a different kind of post, hopefully a few of you will chime in with some replies.
I live in Orlando where the places to see Bear's games are pretty limited. I have only found one Bears/Cubs 'backer' bar in Orlando, which is named "Friendly Confines." But sadly, there aren't many Chicago fans around these parts to make it feel that way. If I was in Chicago, where is the best place to see a game?
So, where is your favorite place in Chicago to watch a Bears game?

Great Post.
I have never been to a game in Chicago, so the responses here will be a great resource whenever I am able to finally go.

hey, I live in Kissimmee
guess we’re both screwed. although the Orlando Ale House in Winter Park is not bad at all, there’s alot of college students that go there. I’ve never been to friendly confines though how is it?

No way!
I work right next to that Ale House…crazy.
Yes, Friendly Confines is cool. They have like 65 screens with every game on. There is a small gathering of Bears fans that show up, but not many.
It’s just not the same as a hometown team bar. You’ll commonly see a Favre jersey next to a Urlacher, and that’s not right in my book.

I'm not even joking when i say this
Brett looks friggin scared. his lips are quivering with fear. that or urlacher’s gripping his hand real hard.

It looks like
he’s gripping more than his hand.
LOL

Crazy indeed
I went there all the time when I use to attend Full Sail. it kind of gets repetitive around week 8. Friendly Confines was always in the back of my head. I know somewhere around midseason I’ll give it a shot.

I walk two blocks to the local pub...
And watch it with all my neighborhood friends. That’s pretty much a Chicago standard as far as I’m concerned… no matter what neighborhood you’re in.

Would..
you see a Favre jersey in your local place?

my freaking couch
i pay top dollar for the sunday ticket.
Lol!
Before I found a Bears Fan Club at a bar here in Portland, I would just go to a bar that had Sunday Ticket so I wouldn’t have to pay for it.
Then again, with the amount of money I paid for booze and food, I might have come out cheaper if I had just ordered ST, bought my booze, and watched it at the house.

Exactly what I do
Go to a bar, eat, and drink.Usually w/ friends who don’t care about NFL football, they just like going w/ me for some reason.
"URLACHER IS GOD"
i'm going to go out on a limb here and say
that they might, just might like booze and food too.
That is correct sir!!!
You have just won 1 free internet… compliments of Acreman20!
Congratulations!

Ha touche'
Add the booze w/ my love for the Bears and it makes for a pretty decent time.

love Portland
we used to have a plant out there and used to go there a lot in the late 90’s thru 2003. Jakes seafood is my favorite restaurant in the world..
Any well known places?
Come on, give me something here!

I don't know... like I said, I prefer my local pub... and local friends.
You could go to Wrigleyville, and watch at any one of the 100 sports bars on clark or sheffield.

I do the same thing as tempchad
I have a 46" TV with HD cable, so I figure it’s fairly pointless to go out and watch the game somewhere else.
Even if I did, I’d have to round up some Bears fans in my area. lol
I'M A MAN! I'M 22!
I'm jealous...
I won’t even say how old my TV is. But, I haven’t bought myself a birthday present yet this year…
Ryan Perilloux in 2010!!
I splt my time
half the sundays on my couch with the ticket on 65’sony HD tv and ..half the sundays in section 233 row 2 seat 6 in the media deck!! awesome seats 25 yard line
It better be a Sony
or Payton Manning will find you. Besides, if the games are shot with Sony…

it's not manning i'm afraid of
it’s the San Diego chicken that will jump over the dais.
I'm a Bears fan living in MN...
But there are like 20 of us Bears fans that gather at a local Chinese resturaunt in Eden Prairie every Sunday to watch the game together. It’s like being in Chicago for us, and it has been a tradition since they kicked us all out of the Great American Sports Bar at the Mall of America back during our home Playoff loss to the Eagles in 2000?, i think.
We all decided to go someplace else, and we have been hanging there ever since. We know the owner of the bar, we have a great buffet, and cheap drinkies. Oh and High Def projection TV. It’s awesome.
Sorry, it’s not in Chicago, but I thought I would share.
that's cool.
maybe I should have posted “what’s the most interesting place to see a game.” You may win that one!

oyster pub in daytona beach
back in the day.
sunday ticket on the couch now.
I live 40 minutes from
Lambeau, so I have to stay indoors with the shades drawn when I watch the game, otherwise my house gets teepeed and my kids get beat up.
DEJESUS!!!
Section 114
My family has had season tickets for over 30 years.
In Denver, Buffalo Wild Wings.
"I'm not so mean. I wouldn't ever go out to hurt anybody deliberately - unless it was, you know, important, like a league game or something." - Dick Butkus
In DC
there is a bar called The Union Street Pub. Every Sunday, it is a Bears bar. Posters are up, they have a small table with a beer and two candles lit for Ditka, and they play the fight song over the loudspeaker after every touchdown.
And it gets packed with blue and orange. Great place to watch a Bears game.
Watching games in Chitown
For good food and great chicago sports environment, one of my favorite places to go to watch a game is Rocks in Lincoln Park.
-The food is above average
-The drinks are strong
-Great atmosphere, the crowd in Rocks has an above average sports IQ, IMO
-Usually great eye candy in the form of patrons and waitresses
One of my favorite places to go for watching the Cubs game, when I can’t get a ticket, is the Bar Louie right across the street from the park on Clark st.
-good food and drinks
-good baseball environment
-you can watch the Cubby faithful entering and leaving the ball park.
Another bar in St Paul...
I have watched a few games at it’s strictly a Bears bar (and a Minnesota Wild bar, but they are cool).

Click on the STAFF and check out Allison. She is BY FAR my favorite. We dated briefly actually. I’d go there every Sunday but it is a MAD HOUSE getting in, and it’s all the way over in St. Paul…BARF.
Briefly is better than extended!
Seems like a cool place. That’s awesome it was opened by a former Bear.
