Could Joe Jurevicius be the Bears answer at WR?
Now that the Bears have combed the 100s of free agents available and found the two crown jewels that they needed and nobody else wanted, it is time to continue our useless obsession with wondering what might have been. I've spent plenty of ink on guys we know we are too cheap, dumb or oblivious to go after. Why don't we now look at more likely targets.
The Browns release Joe Jurevicius and he is looking for a new team. Jurevicius isn't goint to make our QB a pro bowler, but he may still have some value as a prosession receiver. A #3 or 4, I'd guess.
What is your take on Jurevicius?

I'd say solid #3
if not a #2…
Wait… he’ll be 35 this season? And wait… the BROWNS cut him??
Okay, nevermind. Next topic.
Ryan Perilloux in 2010!!
+1
If things came easy, then everybody would be great at what they did, let's face it.

God help us
how many number 3’s and 4’s do we need. I like j.j. but too old, too hurt, too bad.

Eh
if he were healthy and under 35 maybe… but really how many slow #3 receivers can the most boring offense handle?

Seems JA would rather sign an abundance of #3's than fork the cash out for a true #1

ok how about this:
i want no part of Joe Jurevicius
and that’s all i’m going to say about that.
I'll pass
If the Bears wanted a slow white dude to play receiver they would be better off signing me.

Probably not
and I am just as likely to get injured as Joe Jurevicius seeing as I have never played football on any level. But I have finished two and a half years of college!

I'd take him over Davis

He is too much of an injury risk
He has spent the last 2 seasons on the sidelines because of injuries. Why would he be able to help out the bears now?
WR receiver positon is up for grabs
After releasing Booker, they need a WR. Bad. I am hoping they get T. Holt. They lost a good one in Berrian to the Vikes. Jurevivius aint the answer. Hester better blow up the league this year, as a #1 WR. ( I still think he’s better off a kick returner). My Bears need help :(

Larry,
I agree with you. Devon Hester needs to move back to kick returns and third down specialst. We let Berrian go last year and like always good players do he came back and toasted our horrible coners.
Hell No to Joe!!!
Joe is not the answer for the Bears. We need speed along with route running ability.
J.J.
As a long time Bears fan with nothing against J.J. but, No! No! No! The team needs to stop picking up throw aways and aquire a play making wide out with speed who can stretch the field to open up the running game for Matt Forte. Does the name Anquan Boldin sound familiar?
Rodney Key
Browns Fan thoughts on J.J.
He’s an excellent team player with great leadership. He plays his all every game. He could probably fix the locker room mess in Dallas. He runs good routes, is a darn good blocker (we lined him up at TE in 2007 quite often and with good results). He isn’t the fastest, but he’ll catch every ball he can get a finger on. He only had 2 drops in 2007, both were pretty though catches. He might not be healthy enough to play #2, but he’d be an excellent #3 and a great locker room guy whom everyone would admire, respect, and play for.
I’d have him on my team even if he didn’t play a down.
