Based on that info...

It’s official. Mark Anderson will have 15 sacks this year… in his contract year, working with Hot Rod.

"You win because of the quarterback. We have to get that position stabilized. We're fixated on that.

We know it's the most valuable position on the football team. We've gone through so many scenarios at that position we can write a book, moreso on what not do."

Actually... given the ages of A Brown and O Gun

The Bears would be wise to lock Mark Anderson up on an extension before the season starts. Especially with all the extra cap room they’ll have in the final cap year.

unless he magically learns to stop the run

he’s still a one trick pony. are there a lot of well paid ends that you want in on passing plays only?

They need to lock him up anyway.

So… do it soon, before he increases his value with a good year.

There’s a reason that some of the mock drafts have us taking a DE: we need to improve our pass rush, and O-Gun’s a FA after this season as well. I doubt they’re gonna let two DEs (O-Gun and Anderson) walk in the same off-season.

I agree

i know it’s unwise to judge a player on one good season, but 12 sacks as a rookie, That defensive line hasn’t been the same since Don Johnson left.

OH! STEWIE!! GET OUT THE WAY BOY! GET OUT THE WAY!
