Not Sure If It's Been Looked At, But Next Year's Schedule

The Bears, finishing 2nd in the NFC North, face the 2nd place teams from the NFC East and NFC South (1 home/1 away) since they already play all 4 teams from the NFC West.

So, here is the Bears 2009 Schedule (Dates & Times are set in April):

Perfectly set up for another 9-7 season,

10-6 would be an overachievement, and 11-5 is what it would take to keep Lovie and/or JA their jobs.

Things will get better as they improve...

11-5 to keep their job?

You forget mediocre performances go higher up than just coach and GM.

I don't think they'll get rid of Teddy

without one more change in GM first. But I could be wrong…

I don't see how any of these teams can possibly beat the Bears.

The Bears are obviously going undefeated.

6 or 7 wins sounds about right, knowing what we know now about the 2009 Bears

The NFL is the land of parity. Therefore very difficult to examine an upcoming season’s schedule and say with any sort of precision how a team will do. I think the Bears have way too many holes and uncertainties to think beyond 6 or 7 wins max.

Minnesota is set up to win the NFC North in a cakewalk. Which sucks of course.

Yeah, your totally right again.

Especially considering the talent the Vikings have at QB. They might as well crown ’em right now.

Come on Blou

Have some faith. “Minnesota is set up to win the NFC North in a cakewalk”? Really? This is the Vikings you’re talking about dude. We don’t have THAT many holes. #1 receiver? Yes. OL? Yes. That’s about it. And if Rod M. can get more out of the D line we’ll be ALOT better than last yr. FA isn’t over yet and we haven’t drafted anybody, wait until we have our entire team set up before making predictions my man.

As far as holes go,

don’t forget FS, OC, and DC.

Things will get better as they improve...

by Dane Noble on Mar 2, 2009 5:40 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

Also

OG, SLB, SS, GM, and maybe QB.

DEJESUS!!!

Holes

to me are positions where we HAVE to sign/draft somebody to replace a player/coach to make an impact. Didn’t think about the OC, DC, or GM but i would not mind seein any of them replaced. FS: Steltz can play and be productive. OG: Beekman and Garza are decent though I wouldnt’ mind seein Garza replaced w/ a better option. SLB: Definitely would like to see somebody come in and make an impact but Williams will do for now. SS: Payne is our man for another 2-3 yrs so accept it. QB: ALL HAIL THE NECKBEARD!!!!

There

are a lot of bad teams on that list. I thought they were a 6 or 7 win team last year, that got lucky at won 7, but I don’t know how they could win less than 8 with that schedule.

DEJESUS!!!

by tomas21 on Mar 2, 2009 5:13 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

Actually

If you look at the home games we could win them all. 5 awy teams that are more than beatable. Chitown will be in the playoffs with 11-12 wins next year. I know we talk alot of smack about them not doing anything in FA but there is no need to overspend like the Redskins do. Look for some key role players to be signed within the next week or two. We have a bunch of probowlers on our squad now we just need players that can do their job so they can get back to probowl form.

That's right Hubby!

Redskins are totally out of control. Maybe the Bears are doing the right thing with being patient.

You really think we could

beat the defending Super Bowl Champs and NFC champs? Maybe the Cardinals if they lose Warner and have a SB hangover. But the Steelers?

DEJESUS!!!

by tomas21 on Mar 2, 2009 8:13 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

We sould.......

I didnt count that as a definat, 7 wins at home 4 on the road is 11. Beat the Steelers thats 12. That is going to be a close defensive battle anything is possible. Look at how the Steelers got waxed by Philli this year——its all about matchups

and the bears

match up well against who? let’s recap the bears team. a run game that can be neutralized early and a poor passing game. a defense that can be punched in the mouth and passed on with ease.

Close defensive battle?

I think you’ve been asleep for 3 years.
