Derrick Ward Signs With Tampa
Its nice to see other teams making moves, while we sit back and do nothing. I'm so sick of JA and this whole Bears organization, I'm not saying trade for a top 5 player, but do something. All they care about is making money and as long as tickets are sold, we will continue to be mediocre. I say we just do something besides rely on the draft to fill all our needs, but I'll wait til after April to really complain about this team, I mean if we end up 7-9 this coming year we wont hafta worry about JA anymore.

i hear that
but don’t worry, the silver lining is that 1 more piss-poor season out of this team and JA is good as gone, maybe we can get a gm who doesn’t bury his head in sand during the off season and expect better results during the season

JA
is signed through 2013. It is very unlike the Bears to eat contracts like that. I think one more bad year and JA throws Lovie under the bus, and then JA gets one more coaching staff to try to find success.

did someone...
… actually think that the Bears would sign Derrick Ward?

According to his post,
He was pointing out the fact that the Bears wouldn’t have been interested in Ward, or anyone else for that matter. And that he is tired of seeing us not do anything.
I can only speak for myself, but I didn’t think we would sign Ward.

fair enough...
… I guess I just don’t see the relevance. The Bears were never going to sign Ward, or any top tier running back.
And I don’t want the Bears to “do something” simply for the sake of doing something.

I never said
the Bears should get Ward, I just wanna see some sort of upgrade somewhere so I know that they’re caring about the fans. It hurts to hear my uncle tell me that the Bears management only cares about money and won’t push to make any sort of upgrade, as long as theyre making money, then thats all that matters…hurts big time to hear that as a die hard fan, as I’m sure many of you are.

well...
… the Bears have been spending money for several years now. I believe they have been at, or very close to, the salary cap in each of the last several seasons.
So it isn’t really about saving money, but instead about how they use their money.

who said anything
about them saving money or whatever, I said as long that the Bears front office is bringing in money, they wont do anything to better the team, theyll continue to pick up free agents that no other team really wants.

We haven't picked up any free agents that nobody wants.

my point...
… is that they are spending money. You (and I, often) disagree with how they spend it.
They are not just spending money to spend it. They spend money because they think it will make the team better.
You have to remember that this team has shelled out BIG money to Briggs, Urlacher, Kreutz, Harris, and others. They have spent big money, on big-time players, but it just most often done to keep current players rather than go after big players on the open market.
