there is a bigger reason for the Bears shopping for free agents after not doing much to start.
Think of it this way, we have these positions to fix: O-line, secondary, WR, and QB (plus a few that could use a little help).
Here's how I see it:
1. We sign Pace after which in all actuality makes our O-line fairly deep.
2. We sign Lucas which makes our secondary fairly deep as well.
3. There are a handful of second tier WR's out there including Holt, Harrison, D. Jackson, and K. Robinson plus others. Sign one or two of them.
I'm not saying these 3 moves are a great scenario, but it works for this year.
We then only are left with 1 more fix and a whole draft in front of us. Is it possible we are doing these things to give us leverage with picks to make a move for Cutler?
