Remembering Your Off-season Predictions
On December 29th, SackMan made a great fan post, encouraging our readers to make predictions on everything from Free Agency, to the draft, and everything in between.
I was reading through everyone's predictions, and decided to highlight some of them in my own fan post. I know it is still too early to have a comprehensive review, so I may do this again right before the season starts. So, here we go:
SackMan: I predict: Rex Grossman signs with the Dallas Cowboys to back-up Tony Romo.
Chanman25: Detroit Lions take Michael Crabtree with the first overall pick
ChiFan13: I predict that neither Babich or Turner gets fired.
WCG: The Bears will still start Orton and he’ll be throwing to Hester and Devery Henderson.
bmeierho: Babich gets fired, and the Bears cut CB Nathan Vasher, while moving Corey Graham into the starting role…
McRipper: The Bears will not be a playoff team again as long as Lovie’s head coach.
GeauxBears: I predict a huge draft. We will trade away at least one high-salaried player, if not more, for 1st and 2nd round picks. We will probably be surprised by the moves.
#23: Mike Brown resigns an incentive based contract with a low base salary.
Subotai: I predict we trade... the 1st round pick in the draft and end up picking up no name talent from Division II schools.
ARAM FOR MVP: Adewale is traded/cut, Bears sign Peppers, Vasher traded, Bears sign Gross RT, Bears trade RD1, RD3, Vasher for Boldin, Bears draft RD2 William Moore FS
garsky: I predict two of Ogunleye, Vasher and Anderson will be traded, probably for a wide receiver. Say goodbye to: Tait, Garza, Mike Brown, Vasher, Rashied Davis, Booker, Grossman, Metcalfe
SamuraiMike50: I predict... another contract for Lloyd, bears draft some fat chode to block for neck, we suck again
DaBears2234: I Predict …that we will trade for Tom Brady. In exchange we will give New England a hot dog. No big name receiver will be signed. Maybe a player along the lines of Steve Breaston or someone similar to his ability. ...our first 4 picks will be on the defensive side of the ball lol.
DaBears118: We sign Marrinelli as DLine coach/Assistant Head Coach
junkhorse: I predict Vasher will still not know how to tackle and Tillman will still get beat deep
JohnnyTruant: I predict Marinelli will be hired by some position in the Bears organization. Babich is gone. Boldin isn’t wearing a Bears Jersey next year. Angelo makes a gutsy move and drafts a QB in one of the first 3 rounds.
No It All: Prediction… bears sign JP Losman to “compete” and consider the QB drought in chicago over. Tebow might be on the board at #18.
jeepdays: I predict, the Bears do nothing and draft poor Offensive talent, but draft potential pro-bowlers on Defense. The Defensive coaches will be shaken up, as they are starting to now, but Captain Idiot will still run the Defense; and Love will be his enabler.
thecoolest: I predict Dusty Dvoracek will be cut, replaced by Harrison (and he will struggle as well. We will not draft a QB.
PolishSausage.Ditka.Bears: I predict stupid moves all over the place like usual.

I guess in my case...
What I said about them making stupid moves all over the place in reality is: they’re stupid because of the moves they’re not making!
