In the Den
This is a little on the vague side, but it insinuates that at least once in Jerry Angelo's tenure with the Bears, management may have put some type of restrictions on the amount of cash he could spend in Free Agency.
This will probably be on discount real soon.
In case this might help.
Examining if Torry Holt would be a good fit for the Bears.

Awesome pic
Nothing like some ideas to give the girlfriend. Lets hope for some real Bears news in the next few days. Although I will probably be online a lot less because I will be on Spring Break.
Zoinks!!!
She’s fine. She’s real fine. I love me some brunettes.
“management may have put some type of restrictions on the amount of cash” Ya think?
Damn, she’s fine.
The hottest chick ever.

Good jorb on the Den boss.
1- Cash restrictions, huh? Wouldn’t be a surprise. I often wonder if our executive leadership has been unable to keep up with the times.
2- Torry Holt? I’d personally prefer to see a WR taken in the 2nd round of the draft.
3- Did I give you permission to use my gf’s pic on the site?
4- I love that free agent tracker… it updates within minutes of a signing, and you can easily sort by position.
5- If that really is Favre’s “official site” then I guess it just fits into what we have thought about him all along… pompous and self-loving. I mean, putting his own stats, and the quote at the bottom? Jeesh…
6- SackMan, stay away from my gf.
Ryan Perilloux in 2010!!
Virgina just needs to croak
The need for new ownership is 20 years passed. I’d like to hope when the inevitable happens, the team gets sold to a non-absent owner.

Little harsh there, aren't you?
I mean, I hear what you are saying… but wishing someone would croak?
Let’s give ’em a couple more years before we start calling for their heads! Lol
Ryan Perilloux in 2010!!
If anyone else watched the hester video...
Look at who out there on the kick and punt returns.
Alex brown, Daniel manning, ogunleye, tillman, hillenmeyer.
All guys still on the roster none play special teams anymore.
IMO that is the reason why hester was trying to overproduce on kickoffs and hestitating on punts he’s got none of the guys he’s used to back there to block for him.
How do you explain Manning's success on kick returns then?

Hester didn't know any of them when he joined the team as a rookie...
Didn’t seem to make a difference then… so how does it make a difference now?
And Hester and Manning joined the team at the same time. Manning’s success hasn’t changed (he returned kicks in every pre-season, and also got a few returns here and there before taking over full-time last year). So, how does the same environment apply to Hester’s regression?

Why so intent on just manning?
The others are just as if not more important… I.e. Ayanbedejo and the others that are not on the ST last year.
He also had to transition to wr so he didn’t get the feel for the guys like previous years!
Because Manning's the guy who took Hester's job...
And led the league in kick return avg at 29.7… with an 83 yard TD return.
Geez. What are you not grasping here from this conversation?

Manning....
Maybe ten plays per game. Hester probably 25-30 per game.
That means more practice time spent with the O. Less time to establish trust with the ST guys.
Manning was the backup for hester meaning while hester was taking snaps with the O, manning was fielding KOs with the ST.
Geez what are YOU not grasping from this conversation?
So... you've completely changed your tune
Look at who out there on the kick and punt returns.
From:
A. Hester’s not effective on returns anymore because he doesn’t have the same guys blocking for him.
To:
B. Hester’s not effective on returns anymore because he’s spending more time with the offense.
Congratulations.

i think hesters ability to return kicks diminished
for a number of reasons. he was too hesitant trying to find a hole whereas manning just went full speed like his butt was on fire. i think that rib injury kind of hurt his confidence as well. and of course the reps on offense contributed

I haven't changed anything....
You just don’t know what your talking about.
7 guys were different this year as opposed to last year this not the same amount of trust in his blockers along with the positional change that caused less reps to establish the trust that is neccessary to succeed returning.
When only three guys that you are used to seeing are there still and you don’t know the other guys well how can you be effective?
I don't know... maybe you should ask Daniel Manning.
He led the NFL in kick return avg behind the same 7 new guys.
And, Manning joined the team the same day that Hester joined the team, 15 picks ahead of Hester in the 2006 draft. They both returned kicks in 2006, 2007, and 2008 (with Hester getting the vast majority in 2006 and 2007)
So, that means that Manning and Hester had to make the same adjustments to the new special teams personnel… while splitting reps at kick returner and both learning new positions (Hester had to learn WR, while Manning had to keep learning new positions in the defensive backfield FS, NB, and CB).
