William Moore
Ran a 4.51 and 4.49 in his 40s at Mizzou. He's 6'1" and 221 pounds. This, I will say again, is who I'd like to see us draft in Round 2, if he's around. He's an excellent safety, with size and speed and instincts.
Also, I think Stephen McGee would be an interesting QB prospect in the middle to late rounds. He is a mobile guy and had more success at A&M than Hanie did at CSU. And, I've seen both he and Nate Davis play and I think McGee has more of a chance in the league. Davis is small.
I've given up looking at free agents, and now will put all my stock in hoping for a great draft.
Are there any other not-often discussed prospects people watched in college and would take a flyer on? If we needed a tight end I'd say Travis Beckum from Wisconsin...
At WR, Deon Butler was fast at the combine and was one a trio of good WRs at PSU. Patrick Turner is a tall product out of USC...and has potential.

Yes and no
I agree with your Moore assessment. I’ll be posting my draft breakdown on the safeties next week.
Stephen McGee…..ya know, I’ve been able to watch him for his four years, and one word sums him up: inconsistent. Chase17 is a Sooner fan, and I’d be interested to hear his take. I was never really impressed with McGee….I mean, he’d be a project player. We already have Hanie, so I figure we don’t need another one.
I'M A MAN! I'M 22!
On McGee...
I really was never impressed with his passing abilities, he was great at running the read option but that doesn’t translate well to the NFL. He was able to grit out wins, those two back to back wins against Texas were all on him. But, I remember people laughing at Texas’s D, myself included, when McGee threw for over 300 yards against Texas at Kyle Field. I might be okay with the Bears drafting him around the 6th-7th round. But he is definetly a project player.
You know when I laughed?
When we beat you 45-35 on a neutral field.
Never gets old.
I'M A MAN! I'M 22!
A nuetral field in TEXAS...
I was just meaning that instead of giving credit to McGee for playing good, people were saying that Texas’s Pass Defense played bad. Even A&M fans said that.
You know when I laughed?
When Oklahoma actually played and won the Big 12 for the third straight year. That, never gets old.
Interesting
Why would you bring that up? Kind of irrelevant when the tickets are split 50-50 between the schools. Hmm….
Ya know when I laughed?
Well, I suppose every year….Small Game Bob finds a way to lose big games.
I'M A MAN! I'M 22!
you know when i laugh?
when you guys argue about championship games that don’t involve an SEC team (high five GB!) just hilarious.

Considering they are talking about the Big12,
it would be hard to include the SEC.
But high-5 back at ya I guess.
Ryan Perilloux in 2010!!
Oh Crap

Well,
I guess you got me told. Go WolverGators! (or whichever is most convenient for the time being) :)
Ryan Perilloux in 2010!!
At least...
“Small Game” Bob gets to the big games. For all you say about their losses, at least they are their.
How many NC games has Mack Brown been in? 1, I believe, and that was all Vince Young
That's ironic, again
How many national championships has Small Game Bob won? Oops….the same as Mack Brown.
What’s the overall record of the Red River Rivalry? Go find it and come back with your tail between your legs.
I'M A MAN! I'M 22!
How many Big 12 Championships has Mack Brown won?
1
Doesn’t Stoops have something like 6. WOW, 6 times more championships than crybaby Mack Brown, WOW.
Isn’t the Red River Rivalry Record between Stoops and Brown like, 6-3 in favor of Stoops. Yeah, It is. Whose tail is between their legs now?
In the words of GeauxBears, Check and Mate.
Hurry up and reply ChiFan
the anticipation’s killing me.

There is nothing for him to say.
Except Sorry and Boomer Sooner.
LOL
Thanks for making my point.
1. You have a lot more than Texas, great. But, then again, conference championships don’t mean a thing if you’re a prestigous institution (which Oklahoma is, athletically anyways) That says a lot about your coach when you’ve gone to three national championships and only won ONE.
2. I realize you’re a Sooner fan, so I’ll say this again, since you clearly don’t comprehend sentences too well. What’s the overall record in the Red River Rivalry?
3. How many national championships does Bob Stoops have? One
How many national championships has he gone to? Three
How many national championships does Mack Brown have? One
How many national championships has he gone to? One
4. BTW – Just so you know, you guys are the new Ohio State. You always go to big games and lose. You couldn’t even beat Boise freaking State. And don’t give me that bull about how they were so good…..you should have stomped them. Instead, Boise State won and Ian Johnson proposed. That was a great night, don’t you think?
I'M A MAN! I'M 22!

Yeah...
because that was the same year Texas was playing in the Alamo Bowl against Iowa? Exciting!!
How did I make your point?
Plus, What do I care if Texas beat up on OU 50 years ago and in the 90s when I will admit that they were terrible.
sigh
1. Texas playing against Iowa is a tangential point. We were talking about OU losing to Boise State. Since you don’t have a reply, point to me.
2. You said:
Doesn’t Stoops have something like 6. WOW, 6 times more championships than crybaby Mack Brown, WOW.
Exactly. How many national championships does Mack have compared to Bob? Oh wait, they both have 1. As Nelly once said, “two is not a winner and three nobody remembers.” Going to the big dance doesn’t mean jack unless you win it. And Bob has shown that he can’t.
3. I know you don’t care about history. If you did, you’d see that Texas has the overall edge over Oklahoma.
I'M A MAN! I'M 22!
When did Big 12 Championships become insignificant?
Mack Brown would love to have 6 Big 12 Championships right know. Heck, he would even love to have coached in 6 Big 12 Championship games.
Yet, He is tied with Frank Solich for the amount of Big 12 Championships won, Very Impressive.
I'm confused...
you are talking championships. But you skip over Big 12 Championships, where Stoops is 6-1. How is he showing that he can’t win the dance?
If we are talking about championships, how is bringing up Boise State relevant?
Focus
Great. Again, Bob can’t win big games. You can agains the North winner, who usually sucks beyond belief. But not in the national championship game.
I'M A MAN! I'M 22!
On top of that you are the one with no comeback...
so Texas, an athletic powerhouse, only cares about NCs.
“Anytime you win your division championship around here, it is really satisfying. There is no question about that. Everyone else in the league would have liked to be in a position to tie, but after today, Oklahoma State and our performance yesterday helped to finalize it and put us as the champions. That makes it feel really good that we are the champions of the Big 12 South. The tower is already lit tonight. We have been here before, but we haven’t taken the other step yet. This is the week for us to take the other step and win the championship.”
That was from Mack Brown, he seems to like winning the division not just winning the Conference or National Championship.

Moore had a poor showing at the Senior Bowl.
When he was healthy, he was a big impact player… but he’s been playing with many injuries.
Here’s a good write up on Patrick Chung playing Cover 2.
Also… someone new who hasn’t really been discussed: Sean Smith, S/CB, Utah. He had a great combine and is moving up the draft boards. At 6’4" 214, they’re projecting him as a safety in the NFL.
"You win because of the quarterback. We have to get that position stabilized. We're fixated on that.
We know it's the most valuable position on the football team. We've gone through so many scenarios at that position we can write a book, moreso on what not do."
-- Jerry Angelo (12.30.2008)
.
Wow, he's got nice size for a FS.
Chung looked pretty nice in those videos. Isn’t he more of a SS type?
"I'm not so mean. I wouldn't ever go out to hurt anybody deliberately - unless it was, you know, important, like a league game or something." - Dick Butkus
Come on Sack!
I had just written the CB breakdown….that was my big new name to add to the conversation. C- on you, sir. lol
I'M A MAN! I'M 22!
Chung
would be a nice pick, but I see him as a better Payne at SS. He’s known as a hitter. Are there any poor man’s Ed Reed’s in the draft? I don’t know much about this Sean Smith. I don’t remember him in the Michigan-Utah, but I have tried to erase the season from my mind.
Please, McGuffie, come back!
Moore
looked like a beast in some youtube videos I saw. If we have to get him in the second rd I’d pobably say pass. I’m a big fan of Rashad Johnson from ‘Bama. He’s got decent size(5’11" 205 I think) and he reminds me of Mike Brown. Probably can be had in the 3rd, where we should have two picks.
