The Bears Den - 3/9/09

Bear_s-den_medium

In the Den

A little more on the Tampa-2 defense.

Checking out a few remaining free agents that the Bears should look at.

Bears reps were on hand for the TCU Pro Day.

Dan Pompei's Mock Draft. The Den does not agree with many of his picks.

In the Vicinity of the Den

Don't know why....I just find this one somewhat amusing.

Nowhere Near the Den

Of course the big news (and by big news I mean the news the certain sports shows believes we continue to want to hear about) is the T.O. signing.

WTF?

Isn’t Oher ranked much higher than Britton? Why would the Bears reach for this guy when Oher is still available? I still think JA trades down if Maclin and Crabtree are off the board.

Depends.

On some boards, Oher has fallen. I like Oher more than Britton, but different scouts have them flip-flopped a lot.

Oher over Britton

I agree that Oher is better than Britton.

I feel that the Bears should either pick Oher if he is there in Rd 1 and pick up Nicks/Robiske in Rd. 2 or take Heyward-Bey or Nicks in Rd 1 and pick up Loadholt or Beatty in Rd 2. It all depends if either Oher or Heyward-Bey will be available at 18.

In my opinion, if they are both available at 18 we need to take Heyward-Bey, and pick up the OT in the 2nd.

As for the 3rd I think Sen’Derrick Marks will still be arround for the Bears’ 3rd pick, and would give Marinelli a new project.
