NFL.com Draft Room: Bears and Vikings
The link below has a video in which both Brian Billick and Mike Mayock discuss what the Bears and Vikings will do in the draft.
It has the Bears drafting Malcolm Jenkins CB/FS OSU at 18, personally I love this pick if he is still available, I'm not so sure that he will be, he is physical, a ball-hawk, and is consistant in coverage. The only nock against him is his speed which I don't think is as big as a deal at the Safety position.
It has the Vikings drafting Percy Harvin, if you are interested.
What are your thoughts?

Good find chase...
I’d prefer Sean Smith, only because we still have a need at WR… and I think Smith might be a better WR than any we currently have on the roster. :)
I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle - victorious. (Vince Lombardi)
Dude, for serious? 1986 was 23 years ago.
Can we drop it?

If he's there
he is a better value than any one who WILL be available. Kinda hoping somebody falls to 18 who has no business falling that far.

Like who???
Maclin would be a steal. I wouldn’t be upset w/ Jenkins, but I think O-line and WR are bigger needs than the safety position.

Agree about Maclin
If Maclin falls, he’s the pick for sure. But I don’t think the “professionals” have him falling that far. To be honest I have bet every year with my 2 best friends about who your favorite pick is and the guy who gets his man buys the bottle of Crown Royal for day two. And I want Maclin, he’s my top choice this year. But if Crabtree, Maclin, the Smiths, Monroe, are gone doesn’t it change the game plan. Everyone is exactly that, you wouldn’t be upset with them, but your not thrilled. You can add Orakpoe, Brown, Raji, and Maybin to the probably gone list. Are Nick’s or DHB or Britt or Britton or Beatty, the kids who will PROBABLY be there are more of “wouldn’t be upset” kinda picks. But taking the top DB pick seems better than reaching for the 3rd best WO or 5th best OT.

I'm not so sure I agree...
This class of CB is notoriously bad, unbelieveably bad even.
When the best CB in the class projects as a S, you’ve got a weak position in the draft.
Sure
It’s a bad class for DB’s but Jenkins as a FS, would probably be the biggest increase in talent at one position we can get from this draft. I think the big knock on Jenkins is his tangibles, 40’s and broad jump stuff. But the kid has been a stud in college and a top half 1st rounder for 2 years now. Again I’m not sold he’s the guy, but I wouldn’t be upset with the pick.

Saints
I don’t think Jenkins will make it past them, but anything is possible.
"I'm not so mean. I wouldn't ever go out to hurt anybody deliberately - unless it was, you know, important, like a league game or something." - Dick Butkus
They just signed Darren Sharper...
and some other safety. Plus, they don’t have a 2nd or 3rd round pick this year because of trades for Vilma and Shockey. Si I think they might have to use their 1st round pick on someone more needed. I think the team we have to worry about is the Texans.
