Repent

While looking at the WRs in the 2009 draft post, I saw a related fanpost that caught my attention.

Link (new window)

Everyone who was negative in this post needs to repent and apologize to Matt Forte, or should I say the Tulane Terror,  for not speaking well of him.

Now laugh at everyone who suggested we take Jamaal Charles, Brian Brohm, or Chad Henne. With one of those QBs we probably wouldn't have Jay Cutler right now, but we would probably be able to pick Stafford because we would be in the top 5 picks in the draft.

i like forte

his contribution in the passing game warrants this, but from the rushing perspective alone get him over 4 per carry consistently and then you can really make some noise.

Maybe getting an O-Line...

that actually blocks for him might actually help achieve that goal, it seemed to me that last year basically every time Forte had a hole to run through he took it for a 1st down

Last years Oline

performed way better than I thought that they would. That was mostly because they pass blocked better than anyone thought that they would. With Tait leaving and the additions of Pace, Omiyale, and Shaffer we got younger and bigger on the line. Hopefully we our run blocking will be greatly improved for this year.

I’m excited to see him run without that extra defender in the box all day
