WCG Mock Draft - The Detroit Lions Select...

CURRENT SELECTION

William Beatty
UCONN
Offensive Tackle

ANALYSIS: In a move that will shock no one the Detriot Lions select another wide receiver!

Actually no.  They select William Beatty OT UCONN.

After picking up the #1 QB in the draft the Lions must find a way to protect him.  Beatty has good size at 6'6" 310 with room to grow and was known as a good run blocker.   But, his athleticism surprised many and he has climbed up the charts and scouts think he could be a quality NFL starting tackle.

Other consideration:  Eben Britton OT U of Arizona

good stuff i got some rebuddle

mike oher will not go before andre smith. Smith has some character issues but hes a hell of a talent and with those issues not standing he could have been number one michael oher is going between 10-21
no way in blue hell josh freeman goes before sanchex freeman is the 50th ranked player by Mel Draft God Kiper
If tampa doesnt take freeman he falls into round two
Brian Cushing goes before clay matthews
matthews could be a dolphin or a pat

I'll disagree on Oher not gong before Smith

Smith has an incredible upside potential, but based on his last 4 months, he has on multiple occasions shot himself in the foot. So far since college fb ended, he has done absolutely nothing positive for NFL teams to be impressed with.

As far as Freeman going before Sanchez, I agree with you. Had Bradford or McCoy not stayed in school, Sanchez and Freeman both may have slipped into the 2nd round.

I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle - victorious. (Vince Lombardi)
