NightThought: Plans for Draft Day

No NightLink tonight; instead, I want to know what your plans were/are for next weekend's draft. I'll start it off.
My plans stayed the same after the Cutler trade: Do nothing all weekend but watch the draft and bring as much analysis on the Bears' selections as possible. Since this is the last major event prior to training camp, I've learned early to savor the draft. I've gotten all of my papers, projects, etc. done so I won't be distracted by anything but Kiper's glorious hair.
However, I realize I may be in the minority here. The draft seemed more exciting when we had a 1st round pick, and since we now have Cutler, I know that some of you may have altered your plans. What are you planning on doing draft weekend? Did your plans change post-Cutler trade?

I will be on a cruise
in the Western Carribean Islands. We will return to Miami on Sunday morning, and immediately be hopping on a plane to return home.
This will be the first draft I have missed since around my freshman or sophomore year in high school, which was around 1995-96. Luckily, I won’t be missing a 1st round pick…

Plans change?
NO WAY!
Gotta watch those nutty Jets fans….
Seriously, I will be gone all weekend but I will put the entire thing on my DVR.
We had talked about
getting tickets to the Draft Day thing. I was sure glad we didn’t do that, since the Bears now only have 1 first day selection. Probably just stare and the TV and Computer all weekend anyway though.
My best friend
has a table reserved at the Cubby Bear in Schaumburg (sp?) for draft day.
I’m hosting a party/cookout
Pony keg and Bronco fans
I’m having a little party at my place with a handful of friends coming over. We’ll probably get the crock pot going, have wings, and other gluttonous foods.
I love the analysis during and after the draft of all the players chosen by the Bears. It really never gets old!

Thought you would never ask : )
I will be in full upper body battle armor, wearing my kilt, with my sword in my hand, ready for action. Yeah, that’s right.

My first
daughter was born on the 25th, which has for the next few decades stopped any draft day parties i might’ve planned. she’s worth it.

I have a wedding to attend
but on a positive note it will be one hellacious reception that I may or may not make out of alive ;)
(Asshole Sr) "If you learn one thing here, NEVER pass out in Ohio."
I will be executing the same drinking game I've done for the last two drafts
Finish a beer before the first pick is made
Have a drink for each pick
Do a shot for a questionable pick
Chug for a trade.
Glorious Day
Dude..............
Is it possible for me to join you?
"The phone's for you, I think it's the Devil."
No kidding
I doubt we have too many WCG’ers in Iowa, so I’ll most likely be flyin solo.
I'M A MAN! I'M 22!
Unfortunately i have no Armed Forces Network where i am in Iraq..
So i look forward to all of you guys posts on all of the draft day events. Since i found this sight it’s been one of the highlights of my mornings :).
More than likely I'll be passed out until 3/4 p.m.
On both Saturday and Sunday so….. I might catch bits and pieces of the draft. Considering we don’t have a first rounder, I’m a bit un-interested in the first day.

I Will Be
Watching with HoneyBear, gwl17 and our friends. Just a sit around and hangout type deal. I can’t believe the first round is starting so late on TV this year. I will probably only minimally be on here, if at all.

Trying my hardest to keep the fact that
the draft doesn’t start until 4 PM a secret from the wife. She might try to get me to do yard work or something if she finds out.
Being Who You Thought We Were Since 2005!
Draft Party
For the last 4 years (including this year) I throw an annual draft bash, where about 20 guys come over to watch the first round, and about half of those stay for the second. Food, drinking, and 2 gambling games on the draft. It’s always a good time. It’s basically the Super Bowl in April, just your team is always guaranteed to be involved!
I am disappointed that the draft doesn’t start till 3 PM this year…
