Everytime I read Massaquoi...
It’s followed by “drops easy catches.”
Now, why in the world does that make him a second round pick?

If we picked him
I’d just call him Massa. That way, you wouldn’t be able to misspell it :)

I noticed in the comment section of Biggs' safety article
That some fans would like DB Jairus Byrd from Oregon. He’s the son of our Gill Byrd, our Assistant Defensive Backs/Safeties coach.

He would be a good addition
Plus I think that they played a cover 2 D at Oregon.

Oh man
I saw Stafford do the skeet shooting thing live. I told myself, “he just sold himself to the lions as the number 1 pick”

Glover Quin
Man this dude is huge! I would not like to be tackled by this guy. Interesting. Looks physical enough to take on the run. Looks can be decieving.

Quin or Nolan
Would look great in our defensive backfield, and the former would give the Bears flexibility in case of the inevitable injury.

Absurdity
Does anyone else think it’s rediculous that 7 WRs are projected to go in the first round in a half?

Yes it is absurd!
Wide outs are a crap shoot at best for their first year. We need the BA defensive players at 49 and 99.
by luckie815 on Apr 18, 2009 1:37 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
But it is not absurd that they will be gone by early second.
But I am optimistic we will have a shot at one by pick 49.

If Britt and Robiskie are gone
everyone else would be a 2nd or 3rd year starter. We need to shore up our D.

my question is
what position, and who if we take a defensive player?

FS or CB or C/G
I think if the value isn’t there for a WR, then Angelo will draft on what he knows best….defensive backs. There’s an outside chance one of those highly touted center hybrids fall to the Bears as well.

It's strange, but it was overdue
The WR draft prospects the past few years have been mediocre at best; so teams are in need of young WRs. With no safeties, no guards, 2 maybe 3 QBs, 2 RBs, 1TE, smallish CBs, and a bunch of tweener DE/OLBs; other positional players had to benefit. This years WRs are pretty fast and a lot of them are underclassmen, so they have huge potential as well. Mark down the 2009 draft as the year of the receiver!

Not entirely
There are alot of teams with good, but aging WRs, as well as other teams(like us) who dont have much talent at all.

middle linebacker!
hey lets get #54 out of middle and put him outside with briggs brian can cover very well and we might get two extra years out of him.draft big middle line backer to stop the run.I always thought he would be a great outside linebacker cause he has speed and hands.

Did anybody see Cutler throwing the 1st pitch and singing the 7th inning stretch
at todays Cub’s game? I had no choice but to watch it on FOX and they didn’t show either one. Anyone have a link to see it?
