The safety [Al Afalava] was crowned Oregon State’s champion in Rock, Paper, Scissors during his junior season.

Really? You talk about the football and physical talent of some of the other picks, but this is what you say about him? Lol.

P.S. good to see that Perry is doing better!

"A lot of fans were drawn to me because they knew that whatever the score was, I was going to run as hard as I could on every play. You don't have that now, you have guys waiting for next week or even next year." - Walter Payton

Jaron Gilbert's dad was an NFL pro

played OT for the Saints. This recently learned fact makes me even happier with the pick.

Sure they expecting a great year from Earl Bennett, but it doesn’t seem they are prepared for the likely event of him sucking. Last years pre-season wr corps. looked even better than this one so far. Here’s to hoping the WR rookies produce. I like Kinder, maybe that is because i heard about him or saw him play pre ACL injury ( I dunno). Right now I feel as though our slot receiver will be more productive then our non-Hester starter… I doubt Earl or the rookies can beat a #1/#2 CBs, but I’m confident they could succeed in the slot. I guess a lot is also riding on the quarterback guy to make the wrs better.

Love the draftees

The only one I have a question about is Melton. He does have rare skills for a DE, but I’m not sure if a guy like Clemons might have had a great impact his rookie year at FS. Time will tell.

Overall I like it

We didn’t do anything real flashy, but we got a bunch of “gamers” who with the proper coaching and development should prove to be assests for 2009 and beyond.
