Holt doesn't see himself as a Bear
Looks like Torry Holt has his eyes on somewhere else.
The Bears just made two huge additions to help the team win now, so it comes as a bit of a surprise to see Holt's agent shooting down the idea.
Getting him would have been awesome and most likely would have completed one of the greatest offseasons in Bears history, but now we're left with one (glaring) hole to fill.
It'll be interesting to see what the Bear's do (if anything) to fix this problem. Draft? Other free agent options? Stay put?

Torry Holt will get the recruiting speech from Lovie and Orlando Pace
Will that be enough? I don’t know. Seems to me Holt thinks he still is among the best receivers in the game and wants to be paid accordingly while the supply and demand marketplace is suggesting otherwise.

I'd pay him
But definitely not overpay

Pace
Give him a contract similar to Pace’s. If he turns it down, screw him.

You really think the Bears need to offer him a three year deal worth $15M???
I think you are right. I’ll second that. Hell, I’d even throw in a dollar to help make it happen.

No. He just wants one last big bonus. This is his last chance to get it.

There is limit to how much Torry Holt is worth
If Holt is looking for a big payday, then let him look. The Bears won’t give it to him, nor do I think they should. Holt is a risk proposition at this stage of career. Perhaps his price comes down in a few weeks when he recognizes there doubtful is any team that is going to pay him what he is seeking. The other thing working here may also be the fact that Holt supposedly can’t stand cold weather. Maybe the thought of playing at Soldier Field in December is a big turnoff.

I'll pass on Holt
I’m really skeptical on whether he has anything left in the tank. Plus, I doubt he’d be a fit in the Bears power running game.

Great
someone get on the horn for Matt Jones. He’s cheaper, younger and taller.

Holt didn't say that. His agent did. So don't put quotes around "sees himself".
Thank you.

What about Lance Moore??
I know he is a restricted FA but he’d look very good catching balls from Cutler.
