Another Blockbuster?

Follow me here.....

Every one knows that the Pack is changing to a 3-4.

Aaron Kampman is a 4-3 end.

I say we call the Broncos and offer a 2nd and a fourth and next years 3rd if they offer the Pack a second and next years third.

Kampman has said that he does not belong in a 3-4 and we are in desperate need of Pass rush at DE, Why not attempt to get a guy that had 16 two seasons ago and 9.5 last year.

He is 29 and unhappy I think if we keep it quiet we could pull this off too.

What do you guys think?

In all seriousness, Kampman is a Packer and there’s no way the Packers will allow him to become a Bear

I think that with Marinelli joining the coaching staff

we will see what he can do with our current personnel before trying to add any names to our DL. Also, I really hope we use what draft picks we have left on WR, OL, and FS.

I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle - victorious. (Vince Lombardi)

In your post, you mention offering this year's 2nd...

that’s not next to nothing, imo.

Is 251/2 sacks in two years worth it?

I’d say so.

I'm hoping that

Marinelli = more sacks.

We need a WR worser.

Yeah since worser is a word....

I think that since we only run a 3 WR set about 1/200000 of the time a Rook wouldnt see the field at all no matter where we pick them. I think that Bennett will play and play well this year.
I think that Cutler can do alot better here if the D is substantial. IE a pass rush. Imagine Kampman,Harris, Harrison, Brown as the starters.

What is Cutler going to do with a better D?

Hit Tommie Harris on a fade?

No not have to force the ball.

He acted as if he had to win all by himself in denver. thus the risky throws in the red zone, but if he knows that we have a good D it will allow him to relax and make better reads.

Well

Rashied Davis is still a Bear. If that doesn’t end the argument, I don’t know what will. lol

No

Use Tommie as FB so he only has to get on the field 3 or 4 times a game.

He’d be better than McKie. I’m all for it.

scespy,

We have Hester and Bennett as our top 2 WRs. That is ungood in my opinion.

Whats with you and words that aren't real?

Hester has shown massive improvement and Bennett has finally figured out the playbook, Olsen and Clark are always on the field and Forte is one of the BEST receiving backs in the league. we can handle a bit of growing pains.

Fine.

Your post, your opinion.

And just because the words aren’t real to you doesn’t mean they aren’t real to me… :)

Dear Denver

I’d like you to take this player away from our main rival. Here we’ll even bribe you to do so.

Yeah. This is gonna go well.

Might have wrote that wrong.

Meant that they in turn trade him to us for that or maybe second and vasher.

Confused?

Kampman issued a statement saying that he wants to play in a 3-4 and thinks he has enough versitility to do so.

I actually heard differently earlier this year.

And I dont think that he is versatile enough, he lacks the bulk to play End and the speed to play LB

In coverage

It’s going to be really hilarious watching him drop back into coverage. The Pack’s D is going to be awful this year!

Exactly

Trades are rare in the first place, plus when does one team broker a deal for another? Never.

NO NO NO NON NOOOOOOOOO

guys we dont wanna become washington and waste picks. The Cutler deal is great but we cannot constatnly trade these high picks because in the long run these are the players we depend on. back to kampman hes a solid player but our problem isnt lack of talen O-gun Tommie the Tank and Alex The beast brown lol love the nicknames? we have talent and im begging that mark anderson wasnt just a one year wonder id keep the picks and watch rod marinelli work his magic watch out for marcus harrison folks

Not the right move

I agree we need another DE. I’m not terribly impressed with Ogunleye, but I don’t think we should be chasing Kampman, at least not for that big of a price. He may be an improvement, but he’s also pushing 30. I don’t want to see them sell out the future for a quick shot at the next couple years.
