Jerry Angelo: Don't Stop Me Now!
http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/05/15/two-offers-were-made-for-boldin/
According to PFT, the Cardinals recieved two trade offers for Mr. Anquan Boldin. The first came from the Eagles, but the second came from the suddenly emboldened Jerry Angelo of our Chicago Bears. The report states that Angelo offered our second round pick for the disgruntled wide reciever.
With the Cardinals looks for at least a first and a third, this clearly didn't get the job done. But I love the fact that Angelo is making such an effort to get this team a Super Bowl championship. Either that or I love that fact that his efforts are more public, which gives me more confidence in the methods to his madness.

Do you like this story?

Yeah, I like it too.
Apparently the Bears made the best offer just before the draft with our second round pick. If that would have happened Dennis Green would have crowned us on the spot.

Boldin
I hope Angelo continues to pursue Boldin. I doubt many here thought the Bears could put together a deal to get Cutler either, yet they did. What the Cards want/demand is not likely to be what they get.

that Boldin is not worth it?

Look at his numbers pre-Warner/Fitz
He was very good then, and very good now.

Recently,
I’ve heard a few people say Boldin isn’t a #1.
I don’t get it. I’ll agree he might not be able to make as spectacular catches as Fitz does. I don’t see how anyone could say he isn’t #1 material though. He’s got to be in the top ten of WR’s currently playing. His production might have gone down with Orton throwing him the ball instead of Warner. I don’t see him dropping off any with Cutler throwing him the ball though.
I don’t think the trade will happen, in my mind, Arizona will want more for him, in players, then I would probably be willing to give up. Would hate to see us trade Urlacher, Hester, or Olsen all players I’ve seen suggested on this site to get him. Plus, I don’t think that Arizona is really trying to trade him. Jut going through the motions in an attempt to keep him and Rosenhaus happy.
Everyday I feel more confidence in our rookie WR’s.
