Breaking News: Pisa Tinoisamoa to visit Bears!!!
Per source of PFT Former St.Louis Rams linebacker Pisa(not Pino) Tinoisamoa will be flying to Halas Hall to visit Coach Lovie Smith and the Chicago Bears.
While only 6"0' tall, Pisa is a great tackler who has experience at both outside Linebacker positions and has led the Rams in total tackles four seasons. Pisa is familiar with Smith, who was his defensive coordinator while in St. Louis.
OK I see it like this; the Bills, or the Bears. which team do you think he's gonna end up signing with? A fourth place AFC East team with a locker room cancer in T.O. who have no relativity as far as playoffs are concerned, Or a team that has made the most noise so far in the offseason?
One things for sure. As soon as he signs(with the right team of course) I'l be shouting "PISA PISA!!!"

really? the addition of Tinoisamoa would have you declaring us NFC Champs?

Probably not
But Tinoisamoa is definitely an upgrade over Hillenmeyer and Roach so that helps out our defense just a little bit more if we get him.

touche' sir.
I guess the unnecessary amounts of exclamation points should have given that away.

Having been in STL for 5 years...
I do not see why the Bears need Pisa T. He’s just too small for the strong side. He has lackluster speed for his size and isn’t big enough to take on RT/RG in a power running set. Maybe a backup to Urlacher?? I do not see wasting a roster spot on a linebacker with so many other positions where depth will have to make up for talent (see WR, S, OL). I guess it can’t hurt to bring him in for a shot at an incentive contract, but in the end we’d have to lose out on developing young talent on special teams (see Afalava, Knox, etc.).

Tinoisamoa may be viewed as a hybrid safety type by the Bears

Uhh...No, he won't.
The Rams tried that with Pisa before, and it went to shit. I’m sure Lovie won’t be so foolish to try that again.

Is he
not quick enough for the hybrid position?
I don’t know much about him, other then leading his team in tackles for a couple years ago.I would think he’d be an upgrade over the roach/hillenmeyer combo.

He's plenty quick, he's just not a safety.
I heard Lovie likes working with quick undersized LBs, so Pisa should feel right at home.

good fit
Very athletic and would be a good complement to Urlacher and Briggs.

Perfect fit
I’d think he’d be a sure tackler, and can cover better than anyone we currently have at the SAM.

I dk if i like this
A foot linebacker on the strong side in our defense. Teams will love to run at him all day, in order to stay away from briggs and urlacher. i could easily be wrong, but jus throwin it out there
