Corey Graham is Working at Free Safety
From ChicagoBears.com
After playing cornerback during his first two NFL seasons in Chicago, Corey Graham will work at free safety. The 6-foot, 193-pounder lined up at the new position in workouts Monday and Tuesday.
Corey Graham working at Free Safety
You've got to wonder how he transitions to Free Safety. At the very least, he's familiar with the system. I personally think he can cover more ground than Craig Steltz; maybe the coaching staff agrees. Perhaps there really will be a competition!

Brad Biggs reports on this too.
The story from the Bears site is interesting, if they’re trying Bullocks at SS.

This is a giant hodge-podge...
And, it’s gonna create issues, and on the field mistakes all year long, as it seems nearly every DB on our roster is gonna be tried out at FS. It’s pathetic that they couldn’t find any other solution to this problem.

I agree
This seems like a real cluster **** at safety, especially since so many of the guys they’re looking at aren’t really safeties anyway. It concerns me. I’m half expecting to hear that Jeff Joniak is going to get a few snaps to see what he can do.

They're telegraphing their eroding faith in every safety on their roster.

maybe not
Maybe they feel secure at CB and have the luxury of being able to move Graham to safety and improve their deep coverage by playing a natural CB at safety.

This is actually the first bit of good news about the FS position
We don’t have a decent FS option on the roster except for maybe Earl and he has been injured so we don’t know. Graham definitely has coverage skills and size, we will see how this pans out.

I like Graham back there… and I like having the 4 best DB’s on the field… hopefully Vasher is 100% and playing well
