Happy Birthday IslandBoodler87!
"A lot of fans were drawn to me because they knew that whatever the score was, I was going to run as hard as I could on every play. You don't have that now, you have guys waiting for next week or even next year." - Walter Payton

"Dvoracek thrilled to be back after recovering from injury"
Is this some sort of generic headline that the Bears use every Summer?
"You win because of the quarterback. We have to get that position stabilized. We're fixated on that." -- Jerry Angelo (12.30.2008)
Jerry Angelo trades for Jay Cutler! (4.2.2009)

On Izzy's weight loss
The Bears Report tweeted a funny quote: “It just takes discipline, if you want to eat a pizza, you don’t.” I thought it was humorous.
Here is a story courtesy of CBSSports.com about the leagues nastiest players. Kreutz is a runner-up.

that cant be healthy
40lbs on last year then 40lbs off this year. i know he’s damn near 300 but i wonder if that will affect him at all. he’s a good player, i hope they just find a spot for him and let him sink his teeth into it

We'll have to start to referring to him as "Izzy from Lake Forest" and put a before and after picture up.

I heard Izzy is going to be starring in the Machinist Sequel

If my memory is working properly
weren’t Dahl and Ogunleye and Harris getting into it during the Bears Falcons Game last year? Would have liked to hear more about Kreutz’s antics, I’ve heard a lot of unsubstantiated rumors about some of his shenanigans.

…the leagues nastiest players. Kreutz is a runner-up.
I’m a little disappointed that we don’t have at least a few more in the runner-up category, and none on defense.
"They tried to take out the quarterback, and if they managed that, they tried to take out the backup." - Bears SB20 TE Emery Moorehead, on the mentality of *that* defense

Nice
I find I can handle Green Bay controversy with great fortitude.
I’ll bet he does look a little awkward dropping into pass coverage. He probably hasn’t been spending a lot of time practicing his back pedal.

Great news for Week 1
It’s a great thing we get our road game in week 1 while they are still working the kinks out of their defense. It’s also great for preparing for Pittsburgh. We’ve always had more trouble with the 3-4. Perhaps being able to game plan the same way two straight weeks will help.

i told that damn kid...
that it would ruin his career!!!

Whatever
Once Torry Holt left the market, there really wasn’t anybody out there who can significantly boost our WR. I don’t want Plax—too much of a head case—and I don’t want Matt Jones—a never-was. Just go with what we’ve got.

Knox
Has anyone heard how Knox has performed with Cutler? I know he has great speed, but I haven’t heard anything about whether he is dropping balls, etc? I would think Chicago would bring in another WR coach like Jerry Rice or someone of that ilk to provide additional help in developing the rookie receivers.
