In The Den
Chicago Sun Times
Brad Biggs has an excellent piece on the Bears and their signing of draft picks. If you read one article, read this one.
Chicago Tribune
As Geaux brought you last night, the newest Bear might be Michael Gaines.
Again, as Geaux brought you last night, no one is quite sure if the Bears are seriously considering Amani Toomer.
Sam Bradford sees an easy transition for Juaquin Iglesias.
Brian Urlacher recently attended Game 2 of the Cavs - Hawks series and got a hug and some sneakers from King James.

Jeff Dickerson ponders which player is a better receiver: Marvin Harrison or Amani Toomer.
For those of you who aren't Dusty Dvoracek fans, this is your article: Dickerson thinks that Dusty's time is up as a Chicago Bear.

Nick Roach, four other NFL players, and (oddly enough) five Patriots cheerleaders and their coach recently got back from a 14-day trip to the Middle East to visit our soldiers.

Here is their NFC North draft review, a day late and a dollar short.
Hilarious piece about the Minnesota media and how they are all riled up over the Favre story and how the Vikings won't share any information with them.

If i saw “The Hoodie” (you know who it is) in Camp Victory i would probably drive over his foot with my humvee.
except...
i think they’re talking about the cherrleading coach… there’s no way they would’ve taken hoodie" cuz the cheerleaders were worried about him taking pictures of them when they weren’t looking…

first "wreck"!!!!
first off, i’d like to thank the academy… and to my parents who supported my dreams…
What? No Qgee love?
Yes Geaux may have brought a couple stories releveant to potential Bears personnel (big deal), but I did mention the Uber important James-to-Urlacher sneakers in the midst of the photo-caption thread. That could end up being the biggest move of all if Urlacher’s abilities will now increase how I think they will!

That is a craptastic review done by Florio, and it only took him like two weeks to post. Another east coast biased website at it’s best!

Good Stuff on the Contracts
The Brothers Rosenhaus think we underpay, which may or may not be true, but I would rather underpay rookies who have proved zero than give them boatloads of guarantees. This year should be another year where we get all our guys under contract by like mid-June.
According to Haugh
on tribLive last night toomers agent is the one pushing that Toomer to Bears angle to get his client signed by someone….guess we will see…
Toomer or Harrison? Really??
Harrison with a peg-leg is still better than Amani Toomer. I don’t particularly want either of them, but still…

Heck with either receiver
I’m more interested in seeing if the Bears pursue Pisa Tinoisamoa recently cut by the Rams. Can always use more quality linebackers….

In favor of Amani Toomer
He can still play football and help the Bears. We are ridiculously young and inexperienced at wide receiver, and that simply isn’t a good recipe for a team that will like to think it is a legitimate playoff contender in 2009.
Me too
I think he’s decent, and will give Cutler a bigger red-zone target along with Olsen, Clark, and Forte. I don’t really like the comparisions between him and Booker, cause he’s much bigger.

I don't know
Our roster is full of mediocre and/or unproven WR’s. I just don’t think lots of mediocrity adds up to quality. And we keep bringing in past-their-prime receivers who don’t contribute much, so I don’t see where Toomer is different. Unless one of our current guys pans out or someone falls in our lap, I think we’re better just taking a shot with what we’ve got and waiting for the next draft. Boldin possibilities excluded, of course.
