Dane could use advice on tickets and more
Hello Bears fans. I am a long time Danish member of Mile High Report who is coming to Chicago the weekend you host the Steelers. Two friends and I are planning to go to the game. Is there any realistic hope of getting tickets through ticketmaster when they go on sale in July, or should we just buy them on Stubhub? Do the prices on Stubhub usually go up any further once the "official" tickets are sold out? I would appreciate your help. Also, do you know of any cool places to hang out before the game?

i have...
honestly, if you wanna lock in a game, i’d advise you to use stub hub… there’s like a $10-15 upcharge but i think it’ll be well worth the investment… i have a feeling tickets will go EXTREMELY fast this year. btw, i will be at that game… good choice!

My friends and I
go to a game in Chicago every year. They literally sellout the entire season in under five minutes. We will have 4 computers and 6 phones going and won’t get tickets. The thing is in past years we have gotten offers for 2 (don’t know if that’s all they sell but that’s what we’ve been offered twice) club seats. They cost about $250 which is probably as much as you’ll spend for some nosebleeds on stubhub. We bought them one year and traded for 3 (there are 3 of us that go) nosebleeds. Your safest bet is stubhub, and prices don’t go up after the tickets go on sale but there is a large portion of tickets on stubhub that get sold right after people realize they didn’t get them from ticketmaster. If you find a good deal on stuhub take it. We have actually looked into the Steelers game this year and it looks like the most expensive ticket of the year. We are gonna do the Cardinals if we don’t get them through ticketmaster. That being said, if your in town, I would get the tickets asap, because I doubt there is gonna be anybody with tickets who doesn’t go to that game. Just my 2 cents, good luck and have fun.

if you weren't a bronco fan i'd say let's meet up...
JK..
Also, do you know of any cool places to hang out before the game?
also, it’s a 3:15 game… the only place you’ll really wanna’ be is in the parking lot tailgating… but if you get there TOO EARLY, you may not remeber any of the game. if you’re gonna be ther for an extended weekend(which i highly recommend), you’ll have NO PROBLEMS finding other stuff to do… if you need specifics, just email me and i’ll try to point you in the right direction, k?

Forgot to mention
When we go we stay at the travelodge on e. harrison. It is a decent place, nothing fancy but its $150 a night and is literally half a block of Michigan ave so its cheap and a great location. Either way, there is a bar we frequent every year called the South Loop Club. Great sports bar, yeah mostly Bears fans but they have the sunday ticket and every game is on at least one tv so you get a good mix of fans. Its at the corner of e balboa and s state. If your on michigan ave and your walking south to soldier field, you just take a right (or east) on balboa and its two blocks down. Its about a 15 minute walk to soldier field from there. When we get night or afternoon games we always go before and always come back after to get highlights and food. Food is good not great, and fairly cheap for chicago. Anyways thats where we go, its convenient and well placed more than anything and I enjoy it enough to try to pimp it to you so if you don’t do the tailgate scene, I highly recommend checking it out.

Might go to this game too
I guess I would have to buy from Stubhub, unless I can buy from ticketmaster. Where would you guys recommend to stay? I’d be driving in from Winnipeg, MB too. Is it safe to be driving there? Thanks.
