The Bears Den - 6/3/09
....where the one-liners suck and the stories are few and far between.
In The Den
Chicago Sun Times
The Bears are looking at some new punters. Woohoo!
LTP officially signed his deal yesterday.
Chicago Tribune
LTP's DC in St. Louis Rick Venturi is a big fan of LTP.
Lovie is familiar with LTP from his times with the Rams.

Mike Brown to visit the Chiefs
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Beer in one hand - brat in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO, What a Ride
sad, sad day...
i get it… but i really don’t… NUFF SAID!!!
Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear.
why won't it clickety pop
in a new tab anymore? that sucks! so……. the obvious question is:
if we sigh one of these kickers, who is the first to go???
hillenmeyer… it has to be! he’s not even on the field yet! yah, it would be kinda’ shady letting him go while he’s still rehabbing, but as we all know, it’s a business… the fact of the matter is, we’re gonna have to lose a LB from the roster at some point, right?

Perhaps but also fair...
The earlier we let him go, the faster he can start working to get a roster spot on another team. If we let him go in the last round of cuts his chances of landing on a decent roster aren’t too great.
does anybody even know how close he is to being "cleared" to play?
i suppose we can “fudge it” for a bit until iglesias and gilbert get signed, but i expect that to be within the next 30 days..

and yet one more reason to feel the "sizzle"!!!

Here is some selfish thinking
I really hope the Bears bring back and sign Ball State punter Chris Miller because if they do that I can get the Ball State newspaper to apply for media passes for training camp.
BYES!!!

That's not byes...

brandon marshall to chicago???

you had to see this one coming!!!

there was bound to be fallout
I believe the Broncos have damaged the morale of their team (to our benefit). Trading a young Pro Bowl QB is bound to breed discontent not only with fans, but also and most importantly in the locker room. I liked Kyle and all but I think the disparity between Kyle and Cutler is going to continue creating deep animosity towards the coaching staff and management in the Mile High City.
Brandon Marshall may be the Bronco impacted most by the trade.
talk about a crossroads...
do you unite your franchise QB with his biggest fan… who also happens to be one of the BIGGEST thugs in the NFL??? i agree with you about the bleacher report but it did put words to what a lot of us have been thinking. no burress, no jones… and now marshall? hmmm… sounds like a moral dilemma to me…

The Den tag line
I read this one yesterday and thought it was Den worthy. Don’t know if Chi saw it or not.
The Bears Den… where our child’s age depends on how many seasons they have been alive for. :)
Because as far as we're concerned, there is still no team in the history of the NFL that could beat the '85 Bears.

I think that is a conclusion worth jumping to...
L-May is the front man for the Halas Hall Spin Machine (aka PR Department.)
I thought some of JA’s recent quotes on the website were revealing— having listened to him for the last 8 years (or however long it has been,) my sense is that he is still willing to consider a WR addition this off-season.
here's a little more fuel to the fire!!!
